🌟January - a quote a day challenge!!! 🌟
I did it!!!! I actually did more than 1 a day…a total of 40 pieces made in January!
Thank you SO much for following and liking and buying!!! It’s been brilliant to have a focus throughout one of the most challenging months of the year, it’s kept me making and kept me positive and motivated!! I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing them everyday!?! 💕

My final quote piece for January was.. “What feels like the end is often the beginning”…that quote is quite apt as……I’m going to keep going!!! I still have a lot of quotes up my sleeve and with valentines around the corner and Mother’s Day not too far away either I think I can theme some quotes around those events to help with some gift buying too!! So keep watching this space daily at 7pm! There will be some slightly larger pieces in February which will be a little more but still at great special prices.

There are a handful of quote pieces still available in the online s h o p (see photos to see what’s sold and what’s still available)…you can always order a commision from me too for a slightly higher price than the ‘quote a day pieces’, just pop me a message with what you’re after.

Something a little different to the quotes!!!

Today is my best Buddy’s birthday and I decided to make her an artwork…now I’m not a cat person but Laur definitely is…as you know making dogs is more my thing but I actually really enjoyed making these two!!

Maggie (the dark cat at the front) is Laur’s current cat and the rather charming grey and white cat at the back is Boris who is sadly no longer with us. These two cats never met in real life but have been bought together by the power of papercut art!!

I thought it might be nice for you to see the processes involved with making one of these pieces so do scroll through the photos for a behind the scenes look at how I go about making them…..completely made from the pages of old children’s books which I’ve got from charity shops and car boot sales. As always the eyes and faces are the hardest bit to capture but I think you’re allowed some artistic licence with that 🫣

He’s finished!!! Here’s a quick reel of my Paddington Bear 🐻 made entirely from used postage stamps (even the face…no pens used at all) featuring HM Queen Elizabeth. Using an illustration by Peggy Fortnum as a guide…Peggy Fortnum drew Paddington Bear when the popular Michael Bond character was reissued in 1998. Her version of Paddington Bear also featured on a postage stamp in 2006 when Royal Mail produced a set of stamps celebrating animals in children’s literature.
