To Be Truthful, every day has been a nostalgic throwback for me for nearly ten years as my London in the 1960s - Tours & Events continue to help preserve one of the most defining decades of the 20th century, promoting London's 60s music, fashion and culture to global audiences. have been many... From hosting Routemaster bus loads of music tourists from Fotefar temareiser in Norway, Dwight School Seoul's 12-19 year olds and NC State University students for 3-years running... To promoting events at The Original Crawdaddy Club in Richmond, The 100 Club in Oxford Street, The Gore London in Kensington... And in April, the sell-out 'The Kinks 60' anniversary event Upstairs At The Gatehouse in Highgate when fans from as far afield as the USA, Sri Lanka and Spain witnessed the Kinks' irrepressible drummer, Mick Avory take to the stage. Happy birthday to Shel Talmy, born on this day in 1937. Shel is an American record producer, songwriter and arranger, best known for his work in the UK in the 1960s with the Who, the Kinks and many others. Shel arranged and produced hits such as "You Really Got Me" by the Kinks, "My Generation" by the Who, and "Friday on My Mind" by the Easybeats. Early pick-up from the Resident Hotel in Soho for Jaime and her friends from Texas yesterday for a 3 hour London in the 1960s private tour down to Richmond in the psychedelic minibus. Then a quick dash back up to Sloane Square to meet the group of students from North Carolina State University in our Routemaster with stops at Chiswick House and Gardens, The Original Crawdaddy Club at One Kew Road Richmond and a meeting with the top brass at Twickenham Film Studios who allowed us in to see the Beatles wall beside Studio 1 where they filmed 'A Hard Day's Night' and 'HELP!' and many other pop promos in the 60s

Travelled back to 60s London on Monday with Sue and hubby from Chicago ending at the legendary Troubadour. On Tuesday, Jeff and his wife from Virginia explored the birthplace of the Rolling Stones with visits to their early Chelsea homes and haunts, The Half Moon Putney, Olympic Studios, The Station Hotel (the The Original Crawdaddy Club) and the location of Harold Pendleton's National Jazz & Blues Festival (1961-1965) in Richmond. 60sBus.London

The sun shone brightly for the masses who visited Richmond May Fair yesterday where we welcomed 60s music lovers at our pitch to share anecdotes about a bygone era. Our thoughts are with Mike Rivers' family and many friends after he lost his battle with ill health over the weekend. Mike was one of the key players in helping to preserve Richmond's blues music heritage - seen here at the London in the 1960s - Tours & Events launch party at the first Crawdaddy Club location (One Kew Road) in 2015. RIP

RIP Larry Page - Producer / Manager of The Kinks.

Born in Hayes, Middlesex. Leonard Davies changed his name to Larry Page, in honour of Larry Parks, star of The Jolson Story (1946), and began a recording career as a singer. Page tried to magnify his fame through the wearing of unusually large specs, as "Larry Page the Teenage Rage". He toured the UK with Cliff Richard and appeared at top venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and was a regular on television shows such as Six-Five Special and Thank Your Lucky Stars. He later became a successful manager, record producer and record-label owner gaining much success with The Kinks, The Troggs, Page One Records and Penny Farthing Records. He produced "Wild Thing" along with other hits by The Troggs. The Larry Page Orchestra gave Jimmy Page (later of Led Zeppelin) some early exposure when he played on Kinky Music. In June 1967, the British music magazine NME reported that Page's bid to retain his former 10% interest in the Kinks had been dismissed by London's High Court. He was the producer on Daniel Boone's charting single "Beautiful Sunday". In 1972, Page was also involved in producing a song for Chelsea F.C. The song, "Blue is the Colour", is still played at the end of home matches. Larry had been living in Avoca Beach, New South Wales, Australia. (precised from wikipedia)

Over the last year, it has been a great honour and privilege for us to work with The Kinks team at BMG to curate and promote music events and guided sightseeing tours celebrating the group's amazing 60 year journey. Days we'll remember all our lives!
