MARELLA EXPLORER - ADRIATIC EXPLORER - CROATIA - ZADAR

Some pics of our time in Zadar. I have put a short video of the famous sea organ on the sea front. Look for the little blowholes and yes it sounds like an organ. A coach is available at a charge and drops you at the sea front near to the old town, collects you from same place and runs on a regular basis throughout the day. We made mistake of not getting the coach ticket on the ship, big tip is to get ticket on ship. Lot of confusion in trying to get ticket at the coach. Zadar was worth a look around, not one of my favourite ports on this itinerary but nice to be by the sea and the old town was very interesting. Markets around to keep you shoppers happy.

MARELLA EXPLORER - MEDITERRANEAN TAPAS 'BREAKFAST' 6.30AM TO 9AM.

Not many people realise this but if you are on Marella Explorer the Mediterranean Tapas restaurant is open early at 6.30am and you can get a small selection of breakfast items which includes some lovely bacon/sausage and egg rolls. Perfect for someone like me who is up early on top deck watching us sail in. It closes at 9am.

Our next cruise will be with P&O on Iona to the Fjords on 10th May. Really excited for our first cruise with P&O and at last a chance to see some amazing scenery in Norway. Can't wait to share our adventures.

MARELLA DISCOVERY 2 - CUBA - HAVANA

So looked forward to sharing our amazing experience in Havana, Cuba. We visited for an overnight stay on Marella Discovery 2 in December 2022. Sadly this cruise, believe it was 'Flavours of the Caribbean' was removed and is no longer available with Marella. I absolutely loved Cuba where Dave wasn't quite so keen, mainly due to the hassle on every street from local vendors. Unlike everywhere else we had visited they were very persistent. The city is so beautiful, the cars are just what you would expect, the colour and surprise at every turn were immense. We also had probably the best sail away from any port, so many people waving lights as we left along a long stretch of the coast, will post a timelapse soon of that experience. Another fascinating port of call from this cruise, please bring it back as an option.

MARELLA VOYAGER - SHIP IN ALL THE PORTS OF 'PARADISE ISLANDS AND A TASTE OF THE TROPICS CRUISES.

I have tried to show the ship in each of the ports on the above cruises. I have most but unfortunately St kitts i only have a photo of the port and Guadaloupe i have attached video of us arriving in port. All others are pics of ships in the ports which are named underneath. Love Marella Voyager so hope you enjoy.

DISCOVERY 2 - PRIDE OF PANAMA - CARTAGENA, COLOMBIA

These are pictures of our amazing visit to Cartagena in Colombia. We travelled here on Discovery 2 in December 2022. So wish that Marella would bring this cruise back, absolutely amazing. Cartagena was one of our favourite ever ports with the eco wildlife park right off the boat. We travelled by taxi to the old town and were blown away with just how vibrant and colourful the streets were. A must visit if you ever get the chance. Colombia was such a pleasant surprise and memories of our special day are so precious.

We were so lucky to have sailed on Marella Discovery 2 in December 2022, believe this was the last season before they removed this cruise from its Itinerary. We feel its such as shame. Will be sharing pictures/videos from that cruise in the hope that one day it will be restored. Here are some of the trademark America cars waiting in line for business. Beautiful to see how these cars have been so lovingly restored and maintained. Yes an important tourist attraction in Havana, Cuba.

MARELLA EXPLORER - ADRIATIC EXPLORER - SPLIT

Our second port of call on this cruise was Split in Croatia. This is the second larges Croatian city. A leisurely stroll of about 15mins to the old town from the port, passing the harbour and some luxury boats. We didn't make any plans, we just like to go out and explore on foot. Here are pictures from our walk, hope you enjoy.

Hi Everyone. I posted yesterday about the immigration forms for BVI and St Kitts. I have removed those posts today as there have been so many differing responses as to whether they were needed and how you could do them. I did not want to add to that confusion when i was not sure of the answer. General thoughts now are that you do not need to do them if arriving for the day on a cruise. I will clarify this further as soon as someone can confirm this 100%.
