Who else is excited about Bod Newport?

Hello and welcome to our bod Newport page!
Our bod café bar concept is an exciting project for us at Titanic Brewery with two bod sites already open in Stafford (Weeping Cross) and Stoke Train Station and a third one due to open soon in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent.
Our application to create a bod café bar in the former NatWest Building on Newport High Street is now LIVE!
Just to give you some background on us, Titanic Brewery is a brewer in Stoke-on-Trent and we have been making beer for over 30 years now and brew just over 4 million pints each year. Not only do we brew beer but we also have eight pubs in our portfolio and two (soon to be three) café bars too. We are extremely passionate about the beer that people enjoy and equally passionate about bringing community pubs and café bars into the local areas in which we operate. Our aim is for all of our outlets to be at the heart of their local communities, bringing local residents together and forming lasting relationships. Our café bar concept was established a year ago, at Easter 2018. This concept allows us to bring our community-based promise to areas where we struggle to find a suitable pub setting. It means we can adapt all sorts of buildings, just like the beautiful one you have here in Newport, into a café bar and as we see them, community hubs. We have added a photo with this post which is a mix of images of bod Stafford and bod Stoke to give you a feel for the sort of venue we are looking to create in your community as well as our current plan for bod Newport. bod Newport plans to be similar to our bod Stafford café bar in the sense that it will be more community focused rather than a destination venue and this would be very much reflected in our offering. Our menu would be more café based, serving; breakfasts, brunch, lunch and evening snacks. The bar element of the café bar would plan to open from 12noon daily.
We really do hope you feel as excited about us join your local community as we are! If you would like to find out more about our plans please feel free to come along to our Open Event on Tuesday 2nd April 4pm-7pm at the former NatWest Building - we've added the event on this page too.
With the planning application now live, you are very welcome to help us create bod Newport with comments of support via the following link: https://secure.telford.gov.uk/planning/pa-applicationresponses-public.aspx?Applicationnumber=TWC/2019/0192

Introducing Sparkel Runner!!!

Some of you may recall me saying I had seen an eight foot tall unicorn well here she is!

Local schoolteacher Emma Otero is to run the London Marathon in April 2019 to raise funds for VICTA, a charity that supports
children who are blind or partiall sighted. One of her close friends daughters has a daughter who is losong her sight due to Juvenile Macular Degeneration so Emma is trying to raise funds to help the charity and to raise awareness of the work that VICTA do.

If you see her around, wave, say hello, buy a "I've seen aa unicorn" badge or make a donation. She is fully supported by the council and is DRB checked.

Why not follow her journey on Facebook. A great lady doing great things!!
