We happened to be next to the Tenby Life Boat Station when it launched this afternoon.
Georgina Taylor assists in medevac at Amroth
Tenby’s RNLI inshore lifeboat was launched shortly before 7.15pm on Friday 9th April, following a request from Coastguards and Paramedics who were dealing with a casualty with a suspected broken leg at Amroth.
The volunteer crew made best speed to Amroth and quickly spotted the Coastguards and Paramedics stabilising the casualty in an area that was cut off by the tide.
A crew member from the lifeboat was put ashore and assisted in placing the casualty into a stretcher and carrying him down to the inshore lifeboat, which then transported him to the slipway. He was then taken to hospital by Ambulance.
The lifeboat then returned to station, arriving at 8.25pm.
