Rock Samphire (Crithmum Maritimum) grows in the little cracks between the rocks by the sea, it can be found growing around the South Beach late spring and summer. We thought it was an apt name for our little hideaway which also sits within its own sunken cliffed garden minutes walk from the beautiful south beach.

We found these doors they are nineteenth century blue jali gates from Northern India, have gorgeous lattice work panels with original paint now in a beautiful patina - it was love at first sight for me and one of the first things we bought whilst we were renovating ❤️✨ they make rather fabulous wardrobe doors, don’t you think?

We hope guests have a restful stay here at Samphire. We decorated the place with calming colours with that in mind, the bedroom has a kingsize bed with squishy pillows and gorgeous bed linen, perfect lazy days and early nights ✨❤️

Every year we watch our beautiful blossom tree bloom, it marks spring is finally here and both our children’s birthdays are fast approaching, I would say it’s about a week earlier than last year…….stay tuned for the next instalment of BLOSSOM WATCH 🌸👀
