We've had some glorious days recently when, despite it being quite cold, the sun has shone. We are not sure there is much better than being by the sea on days like this.

January and February can sometimes feel a little bleak, so why not treat yourself to a few days in Tenby? Lots of lovely walks on the beach are guaranteed to make you feel better. And what could be nicer than returning to beautiful High House afterwards, with its cosy and welcoming rooms.

Sometimes you just want to be by the sea - even in the winter. If you are looking for a winter escape, we have good availability in January. Although High House can sleep 10 people, it is also available for smaller lets of up to 6 people at a reduced rate.

A break in January is the best cure for those post-Christmas blues. Please do get in touch if you are interested.

Did you know you can whizz around Tenby on a Zipp bike? Such a fun way to get around town as these bikes come with a motor to get you up any hills! Plus you can just pick them up and drop them off at various sites, making them incredibly convenient.

Sometimes the twin bedrooms can get overlooked in holiday homes, with people just assuming it will be for children and doesn't really matter. But at High House, we like to treat everyone equally and that is why our twin room is just as lovely as the doubles.

As the days get shorter and shorter, the winter light in Tenby is pretty special. We love visiting at this time of year, when it's much less crowded and you can enjoy long peaceful walks through the town or on the beaches.

If you are able, it's always worth getting out on the water in Tenby - even if like these guys, you have to wrap up warm! Maybe just a brief trip along the coastline or over to look at Caldey Island, where if you are lucky you might spot some seals.

We never tire of the view across Tenby Harbour with the pretty coloured houses and both the old and new life boat stations in the distance.

It's a magical place to walk around at any time of the year, especially if the sun is shining.

We are so lucky in Tenby that there are lots of lovely spots to enjoy your coffee. One of our favourites is Cafe Vista, with its glorious views across North Beach - We think it's pretty clear how special it is! On a clear day, the view is simply stunning.

How often have you rented a holiday cottage in the winter and wished there was a lovely bath to soak in after a cold walk? Well, that's not a problem at High House. This lovely deep bath is just perfect to relax in and warm up.

With another bathroom and two shower rooms, there's plenty of choice for everyone!

This is South Beach, Tenby looking wonderful in the autumn sunshine. Now we are into October, dogs are once more allowed to enjoy it too. So if you are looking for a wonderful place to walk with your four legged friends, this is the place for you.
At High House, we allow two well behaved dogs to stay, so it really is perfect for all you dog lovers.

Of course, even if you don't have a dog, it's still pretty special!

Doesn't Tenby Harbour look magical at night? The town is so pretty with all its lights reflecting on the sea.

Make sure that if you come to visit, you do go for a walk around the town in the evening. There are plenty of wonderful places to stop for a drink or a bite to eat to make your walk even more enjoyable!

As autumn and winter slowly approach, the beaches around Tenby are still just as beautiful to walk around. Manorbier is one of the ones we always love visiting to watch the waves crash in.

Harbwr Brewery and shop sits is the perfect spot to explore and enjoy a drink from the Harbwr Lane Bar. It doesn’t get better than a fresh pint of their beer just yards from where the brewers are already creating the next batch!

Just opposite is the brewery shop, where you can find all of their bottled beers, minikegs, gift packs, extensive clothing range and locally sourced spirits and gifts.
