Dr Alison Grierson-Brookes
Alison lives and works in Tetbury where you will find her walking and exploring the ancient landscape. She began her career at the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff where she participated in daring cave excavations. In 2005, she joined the award-winning Corinium Museum as Head of Collections and Curator of Archaeology.
After a successful museum career 2022 saw Alison follow her dream to create a venture combining her passion of walking and archaeology.

Join Alison on a tour of Tetbury to discover what lies beneath your feet, with each step she will reveal fascinating facts of the ancient Cotswold market town. With 20 years’ experience researching and talking everything Cotswolds you will be in expert hands as she shares her unique knowledge.

Enjoy a leisurely walking tour of the town, just over a mile in length. The course is mostly across flat terrain on roads and pathways. There is a short section through woodland and across a field so please wear footwear suitable for the season.

Route highlights: Chipping Steps, Gumstool Hill, Millenium Green, Wiltshire and Bath bridges, St. Marys’ Church and the Market House

Angel Cottage is a beautiful 200 year old Cotswold cottage in Tetbury. Just a minute’s walk from the famous Tetbury Market House. Tetbury is known as the Gateway to the Cotswolds and is home to King Charles country residence, Highgrove. It’s a one bedroom cottage for two, no pets allowed and with its own private parking space. There’s availability next week from Monday 17th April to Friday 21st April and currently the weather is looking pretty lovely. Who’s coming to stay?
