WELCOME TO OUR PAGE!
Our gorgeous 200 year old cottage is situated in a lovely little village called Griston, just outside of Watton. It offers a cosy, modern & very welcoming break for couples & family’s alike.
We are in an area that is very dog friendly & we have reflected this within the property by leaving 3 bowls, poo bags, a large create & an outdoor kennel. We hope these things make life easier should you wish to go for an evening meal without your furry friend. We allow up to 2 dogs & request they are not to go upstairs or on the furniture.
There are some beautiful walks right on the doorstep & a great pub just 350 yards down the road that is dog friendly & there food is well worth a try! They also do a great little selection for children.
We ourselves have children & know how much extra baggage there can be when travelling, especially with young children so we have done our very best to be very accommodating & to make your stay (& packing) easier, you will find the following at Nelson Cottage; Baby gates, plastic plates, bowls, etc, step for sink/toilet, travel cot, baby monitor, Google (for those nights when they need a lullaby) toys for all ages, board games, high chair, swing set & a 12ft trampoline. (Side note… the trampoline has a max weight of 150kg, so fun for the adults too! 🤪)
We are just half an hour drive away from some wonderful attractions including Roarr Dinosaur Adventure, Banham Zoological Gardens & Bressingham Steam & Gardens, we are also 10-15 minutes away from Thetford Forest, Broom Hall Country Hotel & The English Whisky Co. along with many other great places to visit!
Equally if you want to chill out & enjoy the property the garden is a wonder size & gets sun & shade throughout the day, there is a picnic bench & BBQ for you to enjoy too, just don’t forget your charcoal. On the opposite side of the street there is a space for you to park off the road.
