Even though the weather is getting warmer there is nothing better and more cozy then sitting by a fire! This is the sitting room of Kilnmark farmhouse on Auchenbrack estate and it has a wood burning stove ready to go. As the COVID rules start to lift we are getting ready for more of you to come and stay! Are you ready for a Scottish getaway?

We never get tired of this view, the other day, you could just see for miles and miles and there was not a soul in sight just some sheep 🐑 and the dog!

Another East facing room in Auchenbrack house! This room has twin beds that are biggest and most comfortable you will ever find! It also has an en-suite bathroom!

The bedrooms at auchenbrack are all unique and all made for specific family members of the owners of the house! The room looks out to the front of the house and also to the East which means you get the sun shining in your eyes when you wake up!

Jumping into the weekend, with a great walk up to Tynron Doon which is located about a 10-minute drive from the house. Tynron Doon is a multivallate Iron Age hill fort outside the village of Tynron in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It was occupied on and off from the 1st millennium BC until the 16th century, when an L shaped tower house stood there. Tynron Doon lies at the southern end of the Scaur hills

** Wedding Event Update**

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all to Auchenbrack this Sunday for our first ever Wedding open event!

Here is some important information for you to mull over :)

1. Due to the time of year and weather conditions, unfortunately a Marquee will not be going up on Sunday. HOWEVER we will have plenty of images and examples of Marquee available, as well as lots of lovely lighting and accessories.

2. The wedding event is open from 12 - 4pm, no need to book tickets and all are welcome to come along.

3. Getting here. The address for Auchenbrack is:

Auchenbrack Estate, Tynron, Thornhill, DG3 4LF

Go through Tynron, and about 4 miles up Shinnel Glen. Look for the balloons on the the left hand side of the road at a Cattle Grid. This is the entrance to the house and someone will be waiting to show you where to park.
