The garden has the luxury of sunshine all day, the view is incredible, and the pool is obviously lovely!

🍨 The Gogwell Kitchen 🍨

The kitchen has changed slightly since this photo was taken but the fundamentals are the same.

The sofa is now a breakfast table, and the shelves next to the AGA are another oven (making there 3 in total).

Gogwell is designed to have everything a chef could desire. We believe it should be easy to go away for a weekend or week and cook for 12 people.

The barn at Gogwell - taken by one of our guests. The barn has been newly renovated with a beautiful en-suite bathroom. On retreat weekends the large living area is used as a yoga shala or it could be used an an art studio for alternative retreats.

Look at that spring sun!

The yoga retreat is in full flow and what a weekend for it. 🧘‍♂️ The guests have been eating outside on the verandah, basking in the rays 🔆.

This afternoon, they set out around the garden and hedgerows with Robin Harford to find some wild bits and pieces for the chef, they’ve had three beautiful sessions in the yoga shala, a lot of relaxation, and a few have opted for massages with - let the good times roll on.

Nothing says ‘holiday’ like a long, hot, bubbly soak in the bath 🛁 This is the en-suite for the largest bedroom in the house. Complete with double sink, shower and free-standing bath.

Stunning photos from a hen party at Gogwell last weekend. Our guests made beautiful wreaths which you can see hanging up in the kitchen, mixed lots of delicious looking cocktails, visited some of the local attractions and enjoyed the Devon wildlife 🦚😉

Over winter you can book Gogwell for 2-nights which makes it the perfect place for a hen do, a birthday getaway or a little break from city life.

One of Gogwell’s most exciting areas has to be the games room. The games rooms has seen many a champion ping pong and darts player. Tournaments are fiercely competitive. There can only be one winner (or two if you’re playing doubles 😉). Whilst some play croquet, others can battle it out inside 🙌🏓🏓🏓🎯🎯🎯

When you enter Gogwell through the front door, you will see a wall of OS Maps in the boot room on your right - see slide 2 for the rest of the boot room.

These maps will give you a good indication of where you are placed in the vast mid-Devon ‘jungle’. There are loads of walks and beautiful bike rides in the area, there’s the river exe, the canal and many footpaths.

Slides 3-6 are pictures taken along the Exe Valley Way.

Don’t know about you but we are missing those warm summer days on these chilly winter ones. Cosying up in this bed is probably the only place to go, looking out at that beautiful view.
I wonder if we’ll get snowed in?!?! ❄️ ❄️ ❄️
