Thatch update!

Despite the challenging weather, progress has been good and work on the ridge is underway. This final touch will not only protect the barn from the elements but also keep it warm and cosy.

Exciting times!
Over the past few weeks, our beloved cider barn has been getting fresh thatch. Last thatched in 2008 during its conservation, we’re thrilled to welcome local thatcher Mark Harrington back to work his craft.

Follow us as he carefully replaces the thatch giving our iconic barn a brand-new 'hat' for the years ahead.
