Mull's wildlife watching opportunities don't finish where the land ends. We are fortunate to have a range of excellent local boat trips to take you to outlying islands spotted on the horizon, or into the heart of Mull's sea lochs for a different vantage point, looking back to Mull's incredible natural backdrop.
Spot puffins in season on off-shore islands. Lock eyes with curious seals lounging on skerries. Laugh as dolphins leap and dive alongside the boat. Hold your breath as eagles soar in to take their catch from the water.

Today's post brings you to the island's harbour capital. The lively Main Street hugs the harbour with brightly painted buildings, with an excellent selection of cafes, cosy pubs and seafood restaurants. There's also locally made cakes, locally made ice cream and locally made chocolate on offer!
For rainy days, the museum and distillery offer an escape from the weather with plenty to capture your imagination, and when the sun shines, the walk along the coastal path from the harbour to Rubh nan Gall lighthouse promises epic views over to the most westerly part of the mainland, the Ardnamurchan peninsula.
