Paddocks and Exhibition The Paddocks and Exhibition are currently CLOSED for refurbishment. πŸ“£ ✨Assuming clear dark skies, there is an increased chance of seeing the aurora from 12th to 14th September 🌌 . Good local spots for aurora viewing include the viewpoint along the Old Military Road in Tomintoul, from the Dark Sky Discovery site at the Field of Hope, from the Braes of Glenlivet Community Hall car park and from The Carrachs Dark Sky Discovery Site. Heads up, folks! Tonight (12/09/24) is looking very promising for views of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) in the UK.

Geomagnetic activity levels have been high throughout the day and the indicators are this will likely continue into the evening.

There's a good chance Aurora may be seen naked eye from Northern latitudes (Scotland, Northern England, Northern Ireland) as soon as darkness falls, and may be visible further South, especially as a green glow on photos (try taking a picture if you're unsure!)

Good luck! And clear skies!
