Our inquisitive neighbours!
Looking south-west right opposite the Dell at Glenlivet are our neighbouring herd of deer. They certainly don't mind the sub zero temperatures and most certainly add to the atmospheric scene. Hard frost, freezing fog on the hill and cool winter sunshine.

At this time of year the calves are allowed to eat out the feed sacks for a few minutes before the feed is put out for the rest of the reindeer, to give them a boost through their first winter. They've cottoned on to this very quickly and are hot on our heels every morning - so much so that this photo makes it look like we only have miniature reindeer in the herd! That or Fiona is *very* tall... 🤔

Can you spot one of our “guests”?! Overseeing all that goes on at the Dell, I see different wildlife throughout the seasons. This little stoat has a bright white winter coat - helping it survive and hunt in winter conditions.
Around our beautiful cabins you will see inquisitive visitors like this, birds of prey, deer, pheasants and grouse, red squirrels, soay sheep and even the odd pine marten!
