We were back at Stover Golf Club on Sunday for the final day of the Torbay Cup and carried the bag for good friend Tom Davies to help him on his quest of lifting the coveted Torbay Cup- the pinnacle inter club scratch tournament in South Devon.

The course was in magnificent condition yet again and proved a very tough test of golf…

Looking at the scorecard you may be fooled into thinking that the course will be easy, being a par 72 at a modest 6359 yards, but this mature tree lined golf course in South Devon made even some of the counties best golfers look silly, with some notable plus handicap golfers failing to break 80!

The powerhouse that is Tom Davies put in an incredible performance on this tricky golf course by staying disciplined and leaving his driver in the bag for the most part, and bullied 4 irons off the tee which resulted in 11 pars, 2 birdies and only 5 blemishes on the scorecard, which helped to spearhead his team to victory.

The 260 yard 4 iron he hit into the par 5 5th to set up a simple 2 putt birdie will live long in the memory!

Congratulations to Stover Golf Club, the volunteers and the organisers of the Torbay Cup for hosting a fantastic event and to all of those who took part.

We were at Stover Golf Club last night and had the privilege of watching the mighty prepare for the Torbay Cup this weekend.

The course is in magnificent condition and this was the first time we had seen all of the new course changes, and we were thoroughly impressed! The new look front 9 has been designed and executed to the highest of standards and the work that has been done just further cements Stover’s reputation as one of the top golf clubs in South Devon.

We were at Dartmouth Championship last night for the quarter final of the Parker Trophy where Torquay Golf Club took on Teignmouth in an a closely fought contest with the winners securing their place in the finals day at Saunton West in September.

The Championship course is a fine addition to a South Devon Golf Tour and offers a tough test of golf in the most scenic of settings.

We were at Tavistock Golf Club UK over the weekend for the 36 hole Devon Salver and the course was in top nick 👌. The conditions were perfect for scoring on the 6500 yard par 71 layout with little wind and receptive greens... the eventual winner scored an incredible 14- par for 36 holes!

The course is located in Dartmoor National Park in West Devon and you won't find many courses in a more idyllic location. The views across Dartmoor stretch as far as the eye can see and you're always guaranteed a thoroughly enjoyable round of golf at Tavistock 🏌️‍♂️

We had a very successful day at Saunton East in North Devon yesterday!

Sure, we may have lost 6 Pro V1’s… but we found 16 Top Flites, 8 Pinnacles, a dozen Molitors and a head cover for a Donnay Slammer II driver in the brutal rough that frames pretty much every hole on this majestic championship course.

Maybe you will do better than we did!
