"Staar Escapes was a wonderful place for a family get together. Three beautiful spacious double rooms, loads of living space amazingly well equipped and decorated and lovely outdoor space with stunning sea view. It really was perfect for catching up, relaxing and basically just enjoying being together. Loved that we could walk to a secluded beach for a swim, to spot seals and to join the SW coast path. Lots of lovely touches like cream teas and wine greeted us on arrival and texts along the way to check everything ok. Highly recommend this beautiful property and May well return ourselves. Alison Vickery"

Great news for future guests at Staar Escapes! Watcombe beach to be “officially” re-opened with a new access! This should lead to facilities being reinstated as well. 😁 Bear in mind the beach is perfectly accessible on foot now down the steps with slight care necessary for the very short uneven section. We look forward to welcoming you soon! 😁

My objective from earlier, Long Quarry Point! 😀 Take extreme care if attempting to go down here!!! 😳 If you want to escape the crowds there will never be many people down here, just the rocks and the sea and the birds!!! 😀 Perhaps a handful of rock climbers and fishers! Enjoy!!

Just 30 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive from Staar escapes! Fantastic news that the Cliff Railway at Babbacombe is expected to be back in action very soon! Refurbishment has commenced and it should be operational later in June and ready to trundle you down to Oddicombe beach where you can enjoy the delights of Three Degrees West cafe and even more importantly, trundle you back up again afterwards!🤩 Don't forget to also visit Bygones, the Model Village and St Marychurch precinct while you are there!

Introducing STAAR Escapes...

Tucked away in a tranquil location in South Devon just a few minutes walk from an unspoilt secluded beach, Staar Escapes is a wonderful choice for your next getaway..
We have a lovely open plan living area with plenty of space for the whole family or all your friends to sit. A perfect area for sociable evenings in, catching up on the day’s adventures or playing a board game as the designated chef prepares supper.

You'll find three delightful bedrooms to choose from. Bedroom one is a beautiful room with a king-size bed and an en suite shower-room. Bedroom two is a cosy double room, and the third is a twin room with an en suite shower-room. All three bedrooms have TVs too - so no squabbles over what to watch! There's also a modern family bathroom.

Outside the double door in the living area you’ll find our pretty enclosed garden with an outdoor table and chairs and two sun loungers – perfect for firing up the barbeque and soaking up the sunshine on a summer evening. Of course, we should mention the glorious views over the gardens and out to sea.. just a five minute stroll from the apartment and you’ll find yourself on the tranquil Watcombe Beach, where you can enjoy a blissful morning swim or a peaceful afternoon picnic…
