There really is a Sandals Resorts UK for everybody. Emerald bay Exuma Bahamas might be a 2 plane journey but boy!.. is it worth that extra little plane ride! This resort feels like it’s on its own island, powder soft white sand and very turquoise water.
The sea is calm and sandals have a wide variety of non motorised water sports to make use of. ( we got a couple of kayak’s out )
This Sandals resort has less pool choices than some of the others but their main pool is a large zero entry pool with a hot tub, plenty of space and a swim up bar, gazebo’s all around for shade. Then there’s a seperate quiet pool, no music and the bar won’t even make blended drinks due to the noise !

Airline schedule changes happen! When they change so differently from the original, the silver lining sometimes is to book an extra day in a different resort . A Chance for us to explore a different town before embarking on the original itinerary, so we’ve had a day in Nassau - at Breezes Resorts & Spas location is stunning and staff are beyond friendly, it’s a 3* all inclusive resort on cable beach Nassau, you can watch the cruise ships arriving and departing - this morning 2 Royal Caribbean (waterslide anyone ?) and a carnival Ship arrived before dawn all lit up as they docked. Nassau can get a little hectic on the arrival of 3 massive ships! But there are lots of shops and excursions.
Other ships are available - like the other one we spotted this morning - not sure whose that is but it’s very nice !

Today we have been very lucky to fly business - it’s not our normal cabin by any stretch but those avios build up and this is a great way to upgrade if you can find those reward flights - flexibility is the key
Did you know if you fly business with any One World partner that you can “lounge hop”
So far this morning we’ve chilled at 5.30am In the Cathay Pacific lounge - amazing noodle bar in here, but far too early for us to partake! Although there were plenty of people having breakfast dim sum 🥟 the bar here is served
Now we thought we’d take a look in the BA galleries lounge, great views of the runway. we’ve had breakfast from the buffet with a glass of something pink and sparkly ( for Claire!) The bar here is self pour - 🤩🥂🥂🥂
We are told there’s a pick and mix sweetie station in the American Airlines lounge which we are obviously keen to “look at” !!

Thank you to those that braved the wet and wind and generally rubbish weather, to do the precinct pumpkin trail - sadly the weather was really against us this year, but we hope you had fun finding them and enjoyed the treat even though the rain was the trick !!
