Tris is passionate about the sea & fishing and goes out on his own routes far from the madding crowd to catch the best! You can find him on the docks early in the day with his wonderful selection.
You can even join him 'live' online whilst he's out there on his daily catch (facebook live).

Welcome to our home! A sweet, airy and peaceful 3 bedroom house to rent only 10 minutes walk from the sea and 1 minute from the local village shops.

Bedrooms are as follow:

2 good sized doubles (front and back) and 1 snug cosy bedroom with double bed (front). The road is very quiet so you are guaranteed a really good night's sleep.

The living room is a spacious and relaxing place to chill out after the days walks and adventures.

Easy parking either on the road outside or inside the gates.

You can enjoy a refreshing shower or relaxing bath with as much hot water as you desire.

The kitchen is equipped to basic standard with everything you should need for your stay.

The back garden is a small and very pleasant place to sit - a real sun trap!

The accommodation includes use of WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, hair dryer and iron.

We take great pride in our rental home and want the very best for your holiday too.

"We travelled to Devon for a weekend away with two up and coming teenagers and a whole heap of rain coming our way. We had carefully looked for a quiet home local to amenities and country or beach and we got it all and more. This meant that we could pop in and out of our home when the weather or moods permitted and take part in all that our holiday environment had to offer (cute little shops, amazing country side and beautiful villages further beyond). Our highlight was swimming with Sammy the seal, who really surprised us with his visits so close to us and who made our stay totally magical. The house was really clean and tidy and like I said brilliantly located. The sunroom was a real bonus when the sun was out. Giving us the feeling we were sunbathing as it really fills up with heat and light!! The hosts were really good at getting back to us quickly and are very happy to text all they know, in our case Sammy the seal. We would love to come again."

Michael and Lizzy made everything easy and made sure we had a lovely break.”

"We had a lovely long weekend break at Michael and Lizzie’s place in St Marychurch, just a shame that we could not have stayed longer. The house is spotlessly clean and very well equipped, with excellent heating and plenty of hot water. The sunny conservatory is a great place to watch the sun set with a glass of wine. The location is just perfect, very quiet but with a very good selection of local shops, cafes and restaurants, just 2 minutes walk away, sadly we only had time to try a few. Michael and Lizzie were excellent hosts, very responsive and could not have done more to ensure that our mini break was as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended."

“A very accommodating host, quick response to questions asked. The house was immaculate and very homely. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to shops. There is a first class butchers in the main precinct. A short drive is the beautiful Babbacombe downs. For us eventhough the weather was wet and windy due to storm Alex we still managed to enjoy our walks overlooking the beach and bay. Well worth a visit.”

"The location was great. It's a good base to explore the local and not so local surroundings. The house was comfortable and clean and it had all the facilities anyone would need. Off road parking was a bonus. The beds were comfortable, as were the sofas. The shower had good pressure and was easy to use. The fridge was a great size with lots of kitchen cupboard space to allow for a well stocked self catering holiday. The onsite washing machine was a blessing in disguise upon arrival with a car sick toddler. The welcome pack was easy to understand with lots of good recommendations with regards to local eateries and things to see and do. The hosts were very approachable and were extremely prompt in responding to my queries. This was both professional and refreshing. My daughter and I felt like we were in a home from home which made for a very laid back, relaxing holiday. Lovely House Near Sea is exactly what this place is; we couldn't ask for more. Thank you for providing such excellent accommodation. Lee and Holly"

"The property is in an excellent location. In a quiet area about 10 to 15 minutes drive from Torquay. There are some lovely cafes and shops just 2 minutes walk away and the beach railway and model village are not much further. The house was very clean and the kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable with nice bed linen and towels provided. The property really suited us as a family of 2 adults a grandma and a baby."

The colours here are always rich & magical.
This is a very important area geologically and it is rich in wildlife, with 35 nationally scarce species to be found in a grassland habitat found nowhere else in the world. The cliff railway is a fascinating feature as well as the different kinds of rock and the way they have been overturned.
