Just a short train journey from Torquay or Torre railway station and you can head out on a day trip to Dawlish. You won’t only see the beautiful black swans, but this untouched seaside town is so quaint and very much worth a visit.

Paignton Zoo is celebrating it’s Centenary. In 1923, Herbert Whitley, a lifelong bachelor, opened the gate to Paignton Zoo, formerly known as Torbay Zoological Gardens, for the first time.

Paignton Zoo is a great place to visit & as they say, it takes all day! 😍

Summer Solstice.

Watched the sunrise over Daddyhole plain this morning. Beautiful and peaceful. All I could hear were the waves and the birds 😍.

Fabulous to watch The Kings first Birthday Parade. Trooping the Colour this morning holds many memories for Lee and him Guards brothers 💂‍♀️

The colour was trooped by the Ensign, Second Lieutenant Freddie Hopkinson 23, of the Prince of Wales Company he did an incredible job. Well done 👍

Such an incredible fly past to top off a super morning.

Torre Abbey are exhibiting everyone’s favourite bear, Paddington. Explore Michael Bond’s creation of Paddington which started over 65 years ago.

Brush up on those ‘hard stares’, grab yourself a marmalade sandwich and join in the fun. But, of course, and most importantly, always ‘look after this bear, thank you’

We have had some lovely guest stay over this weekend and they have left some unopened groceries which we will take to the local food bank.

If you like your wines then a trip to our local winery, Sandridge Barton, is definitely worth a trip. We went along and enjoyed a wine flight and some Tapas.Afterwards we wandered through the vineyard.
