Trip number 2 for 2025. We are having such great weather we went out for our second tour of the year. We were followed throughout by this very playful grey seal and bumped into 3 more along the way.
Paddling through multiple caves and stopping for marshmallows along the way all in this beautiful blue sky.
Again we were joined by 2 non swimmers who had never kayaked before.

First trip of the year on Saturday with these 3 lovely ladies from London. They had never been kayaking before and only 1 was a swimmer. We had a fantastic tour as swimming isn't necessary and wonderful weather for February, with a spot of marine wildlife through a brief interaction with a large male grey seal.

🤰 Pupping season!
This is an expectant mum. She has found a sheltered, shallow pool to rest in before her contractions start! If a mum is disturbed by people on her preferred pupping beach she can delay the birth of her pup for up to another 2 weeks! This is an amazing adaptation but it jeopardises both mum and pup's survival. 😲

'Pupping season' took off a couple of weeks ago. To reduce the potential for disturbance we try very hard to not to post any pup sightings in real time or give away their location online.

The most perfect mirror like conditions for a English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark tour today. Seals, Peregrin Falcons, Blenneys and more wildlife and caves than you could shake a stick at.

We have 2 spaces available for our Intro to Sea Kayaking course this Sunday. 12th May 1030 - 1630.

Weather is looking perfect for anyone wanting to learn to use a Sit-In Sea Kayak and go further with less effort and is pitched at complete beginners.

You will learn how to launch, land and load your Sea Kayak, gain water confidence in up to force 3 conditions, how to control your kayak and maneuver in tight spaces and how to plan a journey safely looking at the weather, tidal planning and using your equipment efficiently. For those interested we will also finish on capsize recovery.

We will launch from Oddicombe and explore the headland of Hopes Nose and paddle around Orestone Island.
