Big tiling job in Salcombe, exterior.. getting the concrete base pumped in and finished with minimal falls and flat enough for tiles was the first challenge…. Then using rapid set in the sun 😬👀 dodging showers and then about 30 steps to tile so fiddly 🫣😩🤯 but cracked the back of it now another few days and should be ready for the glass balcony and timber cladding

New one for me full fill cavity therm… solid insulation… I understand the benefits but who ever designed it hasn’t understood the difficulties in building tight with no wiggle room! 😖

Unfortunately for me these tiles I fitted on a job two years ago popped from the floor 🙄😬 one of three reasons, maybe too much moisture in the floor screed when I laid it… maybe a reaction with the cement based adhesive and gypsum screed… or maybe too much heat too quickly in the underfloor heating… 🤷‍♂️ anyway it’s not something that has happened before but I will always go back even after two years and put things right at my own cost!

Bank holiday muddy swampy retaining wall built today clearing the way for extension to be built in March 😎

Inside plastering complete on extension just the outside rendering left now 😃
