sts in 4 cozy bedrooms. For larger gatherings, you can combine both properties to host up to 24 guests—an ideal setup for a memorable party, work retreat or family reunion. Owned by world renowned Dog Behaviourist Dr. Roger Mugford, Fletchers Combe Farm is located in a quiet rural valley, just 5 minutes from the main Totnes to Kingsbridge road, providing easy access to Dartmouth, Salcombe, and all the beautiful beaches of South Devon. With many excellent pubs and restaurants nearby, as well as a wealth of major attractions and places to visit, there's something for everyone. The Barn and Farmhouse are set over 50 meters apart, each with its own private garden, hot tubs and facilities, ensuring complete privacy for guests. The property spans 100 acres of farm land, featuring streams, walks, and trails that guests are welcome to explore at their leisure. You may even spot our friendly cattle grazing nearby, adding to the authentic countryside experience. For added enjoyment, there’s a shared games room equipped with a variety of entertainment options, including a pool table, table tennis, darts, and football table. A few things to shout about. We have chef Simon back for the summer on Fridays and Saturdays so are serving quite a range of dishes at lunchtimes. We can also rustle you up a fancy seafood platter which you can eat at one of our tables. Some fabulous fish and shellfish in today including scallops and wonderfully sweet langoustines. Dear motorists -🚗🚙🏍🚐🚚🚛 and non-horse people,
please do not drive in front of a horse-trailer into the supposedly large gap to the foreman.

We have a long distance from the front man, not because we drive slowly Wir, but we need a long brake path. Unfortunately, we don't have it anymore, if you stop in front of us.

Our horses in the trailer need us to be careful and slow in curves and slow down so they have a chance to balance. Not only can they otherwise be seriously injured, it can even flip the entire trailer and cause serious accidents.

On the photo you can see how little space and opportunity the mare has to keep her balance. The foal is even right under her. She knows a misstep could seriously hurt her foal, so she tries to keep it from moving as possible. You can only do that if I can drive carefully. Please help me do this and consider! 🙏🙏🙏❤️

May be shared, because I know that most drivers do it not out of carelessness, but out of ignorance 😉

The rescue ponies are settling in well and have got used to their breakfast routine already! There’s a long way to go before they look full of health and vitality of course but it’s good to see them so friendly and relaxed. Oh and always ready for food!!

Our Story

In the South Hams of Devon, Fletchers Combe is mid way between the coast and the moors and comprises the spacious Fletchers Combe Barn sleeping 14 guests in 7 bedrooms and the unique Fletchers Combe Farmhouse sleeping 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. Combine both properties for a great party base sleeping 22 guests.

Fletchers, which is owned by Dog Behaviourist Dr. Roger Mugford, lies in a quiet rural valley but is just 5 minutes from the main Totnes to Kingsbridge road linking to Dartmouth, Salcombe and all the beaches of the South Hams. There are many good pubs and restaurants within easy reach and a host of major attractions and places to visit.

The Barns and Farmhouse are over 50 metres apart and have separate accesses with their own private gardens and facilities to maintain privacy. There are over 70 acres of privately owned land surrounding Fletchers with streams, walks and trails to which guests have full access.

Your hosts Sarah and James Mugford live nearby and are available to help you to make your stay enjoyable.
