Shepherding the sheep with our newest addition to the farm, Collie dog Sam, and Chestnut Lodge nestled in the woods in the background. I know your chances of sun are lower this time of year, and boots are a necessity (there is mud)…but I can’t help but love autumn the most at the farm 🍂🍁

Thanks to those who have come to stay with us for the this year, Melanie didn’t know what the fuss was about but we hope you enjoyed it. Send us a message if you are attending an event at and looking for accommodation close by.

Because she’s only 4 months old, and because she’s a sheep, Melanie doesn’t know why the skies are alive with helicopters buzzing around, she doesn’t know why she got a display from the and she certainly doesn’t know that she’s a sheep who lives in the vicinity of home of the …but if she did she’d certainly be saying well done Lewis Hamilton!

Chestnut Eco Lodge is in the middle of woodland on our family farm and sleeps 2 in a double bed with log burner. En suite with hot shower and composting toilet. Kitchenette with under counter fridge and gas hob, outdoor oven/pizza oven and fire pit with bbq swing arm. Also includes bluebell tiny hut for a cosy reading nook or pull out sofa bed for additional space. Dogs welcome.

Happy New Year from the very soggy farm! We have welcomed so many lovely guests to Chestnut Lodge all through the year and the bell tents back in the summer and look forward to hosting more of you in 2024!
