Good morning from sunny Cyprus

I’m sat outside eating my breakfast, and I am doing it completely solo !

I was supposed to be here with another Travel Counsellor friend who sadly had to cancel last minute, I have been booking solo trips for my clients for years , I have always heard that it’s good for the soul to travel alone , I think I have actually said that to my solo clients before.

But at the age of 44 I am doing it for the first time ever, I can’t lie I was a little anxious , but so far I am loving it.

I do have some hotel meetings to attend, as well as enquiries to work through, but first impressions of solo travel is that it really isn’t as scary as I thought it would be.

Next up in my Sri Lanka series was our stay at Gal Oya Lodge.

This is a really unique lodge, which is rustic and close to nature. There is no WiFi and mobile coverage is almost nonexistent, the perfect place to unplug!

Gal Oya National Park is a secluded area quiet area, and is the only place in Sri Lanka that you can experience a boat safari, allowing you close up encounters with swimming elephants.

I loved my hut here , with the bathroom open to the sky and the closed to nature and the elephants , and possibly one of the best loo’s with a view ( make sure to swipe the pictures to see )

Just booked ✈️

This is a total gem of a honeymoon, which I booked last week, but I am only just catching up now.

Howzit South Africa! I’m coming home 🇿🇦

You all know how I feel about S.A it was home to me for many years, it’s special to me, it’s home and my happy place, to be totally honest, I always get emotional about going back.

I have been back and forth to Cape Town over the last few years, but I haven’t been to Johannesburg since I left back in 2010 !

So in 3 months I will be flying out for an epic adventure.

Real holiday 📸

This was a big one … filled with some my favorite places, you all know how much I love Africa, I get so much pleasure out of my clients falling in love with it too.

Lloyd & Bex have just returned from the most amazing trip, that saw them start their adventure in Dubai for some relaxation & luxury at is finest, then flew onto South Africa to experience the magic of safari in The Pilanesberg National Park, where they were lucky to be joined for lunch with elephants, after the adventure of safari I then whisked them off to Mauritius.
