High in the mountains near Aberystwyth, there’s a very old bridge that crosses a deep gorge. Legend has it, the bridge was built by the devil himself! In the 11th century, the devil is said to have visited Mid Wales. There he found an old woman whose cow had wandered to the other side of the river. The devil offered to build her a bridge, but in exchange, he would be allowed to keep the first soul to cross it. The next morning, a bridge miraculously appeared over the torrent of running water - and the devil invited her to cross it, keen to claim his reward. But, the canny old woman outsmarted him. As she walked towards the bridge, she threw a piece of bread to the other side and her dog chased after it - making the pooch the first 'soul' to cross over. The devil was enraged and vanished. Meanwhile, the woman happily crossed over to save her cow. Devil's Bridge has now been a tourist attraction for over 100 years, but it’s been said, the devil was never seen in Wales again because he was too embarrassed at being outwitted by a sweet old Welsh lady! 😈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The Dolphins announced their return to New Quay Bay this morning with a big old splash. At least 8 individuals across the bay, most of which well visible off the end of the pier. Just in time for our first boat trips of the year! We will be back in action from Saturday 1st April. Looking forward to seeing you all out on the water. 🐬🐬🐬
