🐣🌸 Top 5 Easter Events Near The Valley! 🌸🐣

Spring is in full swing, and we’ve rounded up the best Easter events near our cottages! Whether you're after chocolate-fuelled egg hunts or fun and active family days out, here’s what’s on:

🥚 National Trust Easter Egg Hunts – Explore the beautiful gardens of Trelissick while searching for tasty treats. (Paid. 5 – 21 April 2025, 10am-4.30pm)

🌿 Heligan’s Easter Trail – Adventure through the Lost Gardens of Heligan on the 'Wake up with Nature' trail. Easter wouldn’t be Easter without chicks and lambs, so swing by the Home Farm area to meet the rare-breed babies. There's a play meadow where you can refuel on a menu of savoury and sweet Easter treats after exploring the spring gardens. There will be tree-themed crafts to create, plus you can even plant a tree! (Paid. Normal garden charges apply)

🐣 Eden Project’s Easter – A spectacular Easter trail where you will hunt for the stamps along a nature trail to claim a sweet treat, and enter the competition to be in with a chance of winning an extra special Easter hamper! (Paid. 5 - 21st April. 10am–5pm. Eden Project admission required)

🎭 Truro’s Easter Fun – Enjoy a FREE egg hunt challenge in close by Truro. Follow clues to discover Easter bunnies in the gardens, which will spell out an Easter phrase. Every Saturday during the trail, an Easter themed show will be performed by Jules the Ventriloquist, joined also by a special guest. (Free. Victoria Gardens, 5-21st April, 9am-5pm)

Parc Lye is a famous local meadow, which becomes a sea of undisturbed bluebells in Spring! It is indescribably beautiful, and needs to be experienced with your own eyes 😍

📍 Enys Gardens, Penryn, Cornwall

The best time to visit these 30 acre ancient gardens is late April/early May, when the bluebells are fully carpeting. We would also recommend visiting our beautiful Trelissick Gardens and Tehidy Woods for stunning displays!

We loved sitting under the blooming magnolias with the leaves falling in the breeze 😌

These beautiful, tranquil National Trust Gardens are just 10 minutes away, are dog-friendly, and have lovely on site cafes and perfect picnic spots with views over the water, too. We saw lots of families and toddlers enjoying the gardens.

🥳 To celebrate English Tourism Week AND the start of Spring, we thought it would be a great opportunity to share 4 of our favourite local Cornish beaches which are fantastic for your family holidays! 🏖️ 😎

Here are four of the best beaches near Truro, with some welcoming four-legged friends too! 🐾 🐶

🌟 Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth – A firm family favourite with golden sands, calm turquoise waters, a brilliant café, lifeguards in summer, and accessible facilities. Dogs are welcome from October to Easter, and there’s a scenic coastal walk to Swanpool for extra adventure! Plus, you're within walking distance to Falmouth town and it's amazing shopping scene and restaurants.

🌊 Perranporth Beach – One of Cornwall’s most iconic beaches, perfect for rock pooling, sandcastle building, and even a dip in the natural tidal pool (did you know about this?!) The Watering Hole, the UK’s only bar on a beach, is a great spot for a bite. Dog-friendly all year round, plenty of nearby parking and shops, cafes and restaurants galore in the town.

🐚 Chapel Porth Beach – Nestled in a National Trust-protected cove, this stunning beach is ideal for families who love exploring caves and dramatic cliffs. Don’t forget to try the famous hedgehog ice cream from the café! Dogs welcome September-June. Basically on the beach parking!

🌅 Carne Beach, Roseland Peninsula – A quieter, sheltered beach with soft stretching sands, perfect for little explorers. National Trust parking and dog-friendly all year round (must be kept on leads during the summer) making it a fantastic spot for a relaxing day out. Paddle boarders will love it here. Refreshment vans pop up in the summer.
