Really please with these photos I took of Wheal Glynn at Cardinham Woods - Forestry England. I had a lovely walk there yesterday, followed by a lovely coffee and cake at Woods Cafe, Cardinham woods, Nr Bodmin, Cornwall.

Cornwall beach apartment with sea views - September availability.

Seashells is a light and airy first floor apartment overlooking beautiful Porthtowan beach on the north west Cornwall coast. It has 2 bedrooms (double and small bunk bed room) and can accommodate up to 4. It has its own parking and is pet free.

It’s best feature is the stunning views over the beach and sea beyond, from the living room sofa and kitchen windows.

Porthtowan is a lovely coastal village with several good places to eat (fish and chips, village pub, Blue bar/restaurant, beach cafe), plus well stocked village shop, beach shop, surf school and ice cream parlour, all just a stroll from Seashells.

The beautiful blue flag beach is fully lifeguarded for fun in the waves, and has a lovely little tidal sea pool for a refreshing dip. The coast path offers spectacular views and lots of mining heritage - you can even drop a stone down the mineshaft at the Towanroath engine house, right on the coast path, and listen for how long it takes to hit the bottom.

We have the weeks from 31st Aug and 28th September available at very reasonable prices - come and spend a week at the beach in our little apartment!

Seashells is great for walking the coastpath and there are lots of really lovely swim spots nearby (see photos).

We also offer fab sea views, parking, very close proximity to Porthtowan’s beautiful beach and several great places to eat in the village (village pub, bar/restaurant by the beach, fish and chips).

Readymoney Beach near Fowey was looking gorgeous yesterday…the water temperature was also lovely at about 16 degrees. It was bliss to swim out to the swim line and back to the pontoon to bask in the summer sun.

AWESOME swim walk today from Pentireglaze, out to The Rumps, round to Polzeath beach for fun in the waves, and back up the valley for coffee and cake at the National Trust cafe and lovely little garden at Pentireglaze. Just magic!

The sun may not have been shining today but Cape Cornwall was lovely for a birthday swim and wander…sound up for the gentle sounds of the sea and the rain ☺️

Exciting news! I spoke to an architect and a carpenter today about a possible loft conversion at Seashells. I’m not sure how or when yet so watch this space - I will update when I know more.

I also had fun in the waves and enjoyed a lovely crab sandwich from the cafe. It’s been a good day 😀

Yay! Unfortunately the St Agnes and Porthtowan junction isn’t open just yet though, and traffic is being diverted via the next junction down and back through Blackwater, just for our guests to be aware.

After four years, the new dual carriageway section of the A30 between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross is open to drivers.

Wow - I’d love to see one of these - I had no idea they’re in the area!

'I went out for a ride on my bike and saw what I think was a wild Polecat. Does anyone know anything about them? I won’t share exact location on social media, but it was near Porthtowan. I know there is a wild population in Holywell and they are gaining in numbers.'
