The house has superb views of surrounding countryside overlooking Tywyn and Cardigan Bay Within easy walking distance of Tywyn and the seafront with its award winning beach, and clear sa

Listen out for the toot as it steams past the fields at the bottom of the house on its journey up the Dysynni valley to the picturesque woodland at Nant Gwernol . A great day out, rain or shine ! Just 4 miles from picturesque Aberdyfi with its beautiful sandy beach, famous links golf course, restaurants and shops. Spacious grounds to explore and reflect, play badminton, tennis, skittles or various other games on the lawn (kit provided), or simply chill out in the sunshine, listening to all the wonderful sounds of nature around you . Look out for an appearance from Horace the pheasant, or Flee and Fly the two very naughty squirrels . If you are lucky you might even get a visit from our resident woodpeckers . The gentle cooing of the wood pigeons and collared doves will lull you into perfect tranquility . A great place to see the buzzards and the red kites too!

Fabulous early winter day here in Tywyn . The sun is out after a hard frost last night. No sloes left in the hedgerows…I gathered what I could find and the gin is steeping beautifully for that wonderful winter warmer ! The house shows all it’s glory in such a dramatic landscape at all times of the year, whatever the weather, but today was just something else . Thank you Mother Nature for the frame you provide around this wonderful picture! ♥️

Emotional moment this morning as Mary Page, one of our local bird rescuers releases a woodpecker back into the wild . The trees behind the house are an ideal and safe environment as we know there are some woodpeckers there already . Good luck little one ! ♥️

Make hay whilst the sun shines eh? Another fabulous day here in Tywyn, and as you can see our local farmers have been very busy indeed ! The surrounding fiends were cut, baled and gathered with impressive speed. A massive shout out to them who work so hard in such hot weather . A massive 27 degrees here today !

“Make hay whilst the sun shines” they say, and the field at the front certainly has provided a good starting crop . Hopefully before our next soaking this will all be baled and stored for neighbouring livestock this winter . ♥️ Thank you Cae Bach, Tymawr ! ♥️. (Little Field, Big House) ♥️

Wow what a wonderful evening after such terrible weather for days on end ! The sun finally came out to play so the little potted violas might find a place where they all smile at the sun at last ! Our little biodiversity bug and nature friendly garden is looking lush and full of natural life. The hay field in front is growing rapidly, a haven of meadow plants and flowers, it’s rather lovely . The wrens are singing their hearts out, hopefully telling us of good weather to come this pending holiday, we only hope ! The enchanted doorway led through to a warmth of much needed evening sunshine, let’s hope for a good sunset tonight . 🥰 The newly planted cuttings of shrubs and herbs are doing well- probably the amount of water they got recently 😅, so by next year should flourish . Here’s to some much better weather they say is to come ! Happy Holidays 😀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

What a difference from the glorious sunshine we had yesterday ! An afternoon for hot chocolate, Malteesers, marshmallows and a selection of board games or a good movie in front of a log fire maybe ? ♥️

Spring sunshine, seascape, skipping lambs and the sound of the steam train heading back to Pendre station just down the road . What a wonderful day it is here in Tywyn !

Fabulous morning in Tywyn. The resident wrens are in full chorus along with the blackbirds, dunnock, sparrows, collared doves and wood pigeon. Towards the end of the clip the haunting sound of the buzzards in combat with a couple of herring gulls keeping an eye on everything from above . The house-martins have arrived so we now know summer is here! The weather is fabulous and everything is so lush and so green! What a wonderful day !

Wonderful sunsets and moon rises to be enjoyed from the shores nearby. Tonight’s Pumkin Sky was an absolute treat to behold, followed by the rising of a harvest moon behind the hill at Tymawr which truly completed the act . What a wonderful sight it was ! 🥰 (by the way, no filters were used in these photographs, this is truly what we saw this evening . Rather lovely 😊)

Fantastic moon over Tywyn tonight. We saw it rise up and over the mountain behind Tymawr, an incredible sight! The moon, sunrise and sunset views in our locality are very special indeed. Come see for yourselves and pray for good weather 😃

Caffi'r Ceunant at Abergynolwyn are making their first batch of Forager's Soup tomorrow ( 9th March) - delicious blend of leek and potato with locally picked fresh young nettle leaves and wild garlic. Keep an eye on their page and see local food appearing in various mouthwatering dishes throughout the seasons. Our beautiful locality is a haven for wild food ☺️
