The Loan in Achiltibuie

From this Friday we are officially CLOSED for the winter bar one or two long standing bookings over Christmas. A massive thank you to all our guests this season, for coming and staying at the Loan and also baring with me as I very much learned on the job my first season of running a guest house. Nick the owner and myself have some BIG plans for the Loan while we are shut, including brand new front windows being put into the original part of the house.
Stay tuned for updates over the winter months as I'll be updating as much as I can while being heavily pregnant with baby girl 😂
We are taking bookings for 2025. Our books open currently from April 4th. If anyone would like to enquire about booking the loan please either message on here or email me at [email protected].

I am so pleased with the blinds and curtains for the Sunroom!! Made by ETags Unique. Ancient Mackenzie tartan for the curtains and a blue/green for the blinds to compliment the tartan. Thank you Lewis M Mcdonald Mcdonald Garden Services and Findlay Kinnaird for hanging them for me.

What a glorious day weather wise we've had in the north West of Scotland. Husband and brother in law are up at The Loan hanging the new blinds and curtains made by Eileen target. Photos to come later!

3 years ago today I attempted to climb one or the local hills, Cul Mor, a Corbet just before Elphin. I didn't quite make the top but the views were stunning. Only a rough 30 minute drive from the house, if you are into hill walking I'd definitely recommend trying this one!

or maybe you just want to get away from the rat race and unwind in peace and tranquility. The Loan may just be your perfect option.
Within the area of Coigach, where the village of Achiltibuie is situated, you'll find two shops, one a stones through away from the house, two pubs with beautiful food, an art gallery and lots more including absolutely breathtaking views.
Coigach still very much has that community feel that alot of other larger towns has lost.
We sleep 4 people comfortably 🧑‍🤝‍🧑🧑‍🤝‍🧑
One double and 1 twin room (if two couples the sofa bed in the study can be made up to a bed)
We also accept your adorable dogs for an additional £30 cleaning fee.
Two large 🐕‍🦺 or up to three small 🐕
The garden is very large and fully enclosed. Perfect for you to be able to unwind in the evening and not need to worry about where your pooch has got to.

Prices between start of April to end of June, and then end of August to December £750 per week
July and August prices £850 per week
29th of June to the 29th of August is £850 for 7 days (6 nights)
✳️April 19th to 25th - £750
✳️July 5th to 9th of August
✳️August 16th to the 23rd - £850
✳️September the 6th to October the 10th
Please message if you are looking for between 4 and a weeks holiday also if you are looking for something between a week and a fortnight. Although our change over days have to be a Friday we will try and be as flexible as we can.
