Leckmelm is a traditionally run Highland Farm fifty-five miles North of Inverness, on the shores of Loch Broom by Ullapool, offering holiday accommodation for individuals, couples, family or groups. amilies with children, groups, climbing clubs and pets we can accommodate you. The cottages are open all year. For those who enjoy the challenge of the outdoors there are numerous Munros and Mountains nearby as well as other activities such as pony trekking, sailing and nature watching. In Ullapool there is a leisure centre with 25m pool, sauna, climbing wall and kid's bouncy castle. We have let cottages for holidays since 1962 which are quality assured by the Scottish Tourist Board and the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Many guests come back year after year - we aim to make you feel welcome and treat Leckmelm as your second home.

I love how someone can just come into your life and you get on so well.

Spending the last week running a joint photography workshop in the far north of Scotland with James W. Fortune has been a real good blast and it would be fair to say the whole group enjoyed it all as much as we did.

Lots of phone pics will be incoming, then hopefully I get some time to be editing soon too 📷🏔️❤️

Plans are well in place with James for something bigger and better than I have ever done before in 2026, this will give you the full photography experience in one of the best landscape locations the UK has to offer.

But for now, there are still a few spaces available on my 2025 trips away and 1 day workshops, don't hang about though

Ullapool winter lights will go on Friday 29th November. This is a great weekend to visit Ullapool and the area.
