Rookby Scarth Holiday cottage with hot tub Come and stay at Rookby scarth Cottages with Hot Tub incuded, dressing gowns, slippers and towels This is a new two bedroom cottage. This is in an AONB area.

One king bedroom and one bunk room. A floor to ceiling tiled bathroom with large Mirror and shower cubicle. Included are 2 towels plus a towel, dressing gown and slippers for the hot tub and toiletries for each guest. Downstairs is an open plan kitchen diner with a coffee machine, tea and sugar. Two sofas with smart tv and log burner. Outside there will be an enclosed decked area with hot tub and

seating in a private area including a bluetooth speaker. At the front of the property there is plenty of parking spaces for your car/s. Also seating to catch the morning sun. There are some lovely walks from the cottage including nine standards, the old railway line and other circular walks. Kirkby Stephen is three miles away where there are plenty of little shops and pubs serving food. A little closer at 1 mile is the Bay Horse in winton which serves amazing food. It’s been a little bit windy today. I’m not sure how it blew the Shepards hut over but it did. I’m not sure how we are going to get it back on its wheels, but we will have to try. We also lost a few top stones off the walls

Yesterday we had our challenges because of the snow, trying to help the guests down to Winton to their car which they left in Winton and then trying to get the cottage ready in record time for the next guests to arrive.

The 4 girls came to celebrate a 30th birthday. Had a great time.
The other guests left on Saturday night as they were worried about being snowed in.

We… Ploughed the road to Winton
Defrosted taps
Clearing the snow where the hot tubs are
Trying to get all the clean bedding in without getting it wet.

Unfortunately the new guests couldn’t get here yesterday but they arrived today safely at 1pm and are now staying an extra day.

The girls that checked out left us a lovely bottle of wine and such a lovely thoughtful card. It’s been a while since someone has said we are incredibly.

Thank you to everyone that came to stay at Rookby Scarth cottages in 2024. I have had the busiest year yet with over 200 nights booked throughout the year. I have met lots of lovely people even had people returning for second visits.

I wouldn’t like to think how many cycles my washing machine has done but it’s still going

I love making everything nice for when people arrive.

Here is to 2025, I look forward to welcoming you to stay in the cottages, I’m here to help anyway I can. Please get in touch if you would like to book.

We very kindly managed to get some trees from the woodland trust. We put all the stakes in last week and now we have planted 50 of the trees, with 100 more to do. I can’t wait for them to get bigger. Create some little areas.

It may be wet and windy outside but I won’t let it dampen my Christmas spirit. All decorations are up in both cottages now and all the guests have arrived safely. Some have come all the way from London and the others were only here a month ago.

It’s all cozy inside the cottage and the hot tubs are up to temperature so bring on the storm.

We had the hot tub serviced yesterday so it’s all sparkly and clean and new head rests as well. All looking good for todays guests Aquae Sulis did a great job
