Homemade Rhubarb and Ginger Jam (heavy on the ginger) prepared yesterday, sealed jars mean it will keep for 1 year, so perfect for autumn 2024 guests and spring 2025 alike. What could be nicer than the glow of a Log burning stove, the warmth of ginger and a North Northumberland welcome during autumn. There is so much in the way of natural, free growing produce available in North Northumberland (admittedly NOT ginger but Rhubarb which grows here quite happily)for the pantry, what an amazing county this is ❤️

A stunning property in a stunning location. The cottage was immaculately presented and has everything you could think you might need. comfortable beds, cosy lounge. A real home from home.

Rita
A great location and fabulous hosts. Really lovely property with lots of little extras which made our stay extra special.

Matthew
This accommodation is amazingly good. No need to add anything further!

Anne
We stayed with 3 generations and the house worked perfectly, Anne & Simon couldn't have been more accommodating regarding the rooms to fit us all in. The location is perfect for lots of trips out, we didn't travel more than 20 mins. The house is of a high standard with everything you could possibly need, you even get a very nice welcome hamper which is very thoughtful and full of lots of quality goodies. Anne and Simon were very good at communicating, would totally recommend staying here.

And the great reviews keep coming for our cottage in Northumberland. These are all from the last 2 months and are on our Airbnb page if you want to take a look.

From Keith,
We had a great six-day stay at Kentstone.
The cottage is spotless and very well appointed - we couldn't think of any suggestions for improving our six-day experience, which really says it all.
Great location for visiting places of interest - Bamburgh, Holy Island, Berwick-on -Tweed,
Farne Islands and Alnwick. It is also only a 45-minute train ride to Edinburgh from Berwick.
Although we did not meet in person our hosts, Anne and Simon, were brilliant. They communicated very well to arrange arrival and departure and checked that everything was ok after a couple of days. They really have thought of everything.
We can definitely recommend a stay at this cottage.

From Rebecca,
Anne and Simon’s cottage is the perfect stay. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. They really have thought of all the little touches.
The garden was great for our little boy and dogs. It was fully enclosed so we didn’t have to worry.
Anne and Simon answered any questions super quick before our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
We will definitely think of them when we book a trip here again

From Wendy,
This house is a real find. The views are fantastic, the property a delight and the hosts are super. If you’re willing to travel a bit there is much to do. Vindolanda , Edinburgh, Bamburgh Castle and beach and of course Alnwick. However if you don’t feel like travelling Holy Island is a stones throw away and The Black Bull at Lowick does some great food.

From Alice,
We would highly recommend staying here. Very comfortable, spacious and so close to the beach. Anne and Simon made us feel welcome with various treats on arrival too. Thank you for accepting us and our dogs into your beautiful home.

From Ken,
We had a week in this fabulous cottage with our daughter, 2 grandsons (8 and 6) and their labrador. The cottage was super clean, super equipped and we could not find fault with anything. The location is perfect for spending time walking on those magnificent beaches and visiting all the amazing castles in the area.
Having done several cottage holidays over the years both in England and Scotland, this was definitely our best experience.

Still some space left in May if you fancy a trip to the North.

From Kye
This has to be hands down the best Airbnb place we've ever stayed; exceptionally clean, very comfortable, well presented and wonderful homely touch's by the owners. A lot of care and attention has been put into this home. Its definitely a home from home and made the holiday very enjoyable. Plenty of parking. Lovely secure garden for kids and dogs. Well equipped kitchen and facilities. Ideally located for exploring the local area. Amazing night skies (if no clouds!). Peaceful rural location. Anne and Simon are superb hosts.

From Lucy
Anne and Simon were the perfect hosts, so kind and helpful, and brilliant at communication. The cottage is done up to a really high spec and I don’t think I’ve stayed anywhere before that was so well equipped. It is also brilliantly located to explore Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Ford & Etal. If you’ve got an interest in history, would also highly recommend Flodden Field.

From Helena
1 Kentstone is a wonderful property. We were 3 adults and 3 children and found the property to be very spacious. The furnishings and equipment were excellent and in very good condition. The house was extremely clean when we arrived and the owners were just the struck a good balance of being helpful but letting us enjoy our holiday in peace ;-)
We were new to Northumberland and Kentstone was a good base from which to explore the main sites. The Lindisfarne Inn was a 20min walk from the property.
I would defintely recommend this property to friends and family.

From Aileen
This is a lovely well equipped cottage in a spectacular location close to Bamburgh and Holy Isle. Anne and Simon have gone out their way to make this a very special place for a family holiday. By far the best cottage we have ever holidayed in.
