The garden at Cozies is always full of life. At the moment young wrens are learning from their parents, the goldcrests are exploring the pine and there are still young birds being born (collared doves I think). A wander around first thing is always rewarding.

We're the ideal self-catering spot for whiskey fans. Not only are we a short 4-minute drive from the Bushmills distillery, but we're also a short ferry ride from Islay and it's many distilleries.

The north coast is full of amazing natural wonders, like these fantastic by-the-wind sailors, tiny jellyfish-like organisms, which washed up on Runkerry beach this afternoon.

We always appreciate feedback from our guests - especially when they say such lovely things like Joanna and her family.

But joking aside, feedback really is important for us, so we can make sure Cozies remains a home away from home for all our guests.

Since we opened we've added a microwave, a baby bath, a travel cot and a highchair following guest requests. And later this year we'll be installing a bannister on our stairs. Keep on telling us what you need and thank you for all your kind words.

Anyone who stays with us knows that our guide to the area recommending our favourite places is very much part of the Cozies experience. But we realised that we hadn't looked at incorporating a section on where to stay after you leave us.

Our neighbours are back! Every summer these lovely ladies take up residence in the next field. When they saw me coming outside this morning, they came galloping over to say hello.

Spring is making itself felt in our garden at the moment. Poppy is very excited about the fact that we have three different colours of blue, the hare has returned to the back field and the cuckoo can be heard now on a daily basis.

Even after a lifetime of exploring, the north coast still offers up little surprises - places we haven't been in an age and somehow forgot their glory. Kinbane castle is one of those places. It was closed for a while - for Covid and perhaps other reasons besides - so to venture back this Easter weekend, roam through the ruins and watch the gannets soar around the cliffs was a complete joy.

If you haven't been, then go. There are steps and it's a bit of a hike back to the car, but the view. It makes it all worthwhile.

Belated New Year silliness from us and the pups at Cozy at the Causeway. We can't believe how mild the weather is right, but we're not going to question it. Instead we're going to head to the beach and maybe even enjoy our first dip of 2023.

We can't believe it's almost time to take the Christmas decorations down for another year. But it's true, it's officially 2023 and we're already booking up fast for the year ahead.

We've been pretty quiet on here of late, because we've been feverishly beevering away giving our chill-out room a facelift. We've swapped out our old window and door for a set of new sliding doors, so you can really enjoy the beautiful northern irish light. Hope you like it!
