The property has the capacity to sleep six with the additional use of the sofa-bed situated within the living room. The property is almost entirely on one level, but with a single step from kitchen to living room and one from hallway towards bedrooms, and a step up into the shower cubicle, all with grab rails, making the property suitable for the less able. Outside, there is a small garden area with a picnic bench away from the farmyard with views of the surrounding countryside. There is private parking (sloping) for 1 or 2 cars and entrance into the property's hallway just off the lane; additional parking is also available on the farmyard, with reasonably level access into the kitchen. Welshpool about 7 miles from the accommodation includes Powys Castle (NT), the Welshpool - Llanfair Steam Railway, Powisland Museum, swimming pool and leisure centre, and the historic golf course a couple of miles further on. Excellent walking in the area, including stretches of Offa's D**e, Kerry Ridgeway and the Severn Way, which runs alongside the river and the disused Montgomery Canal. Visit the historic market town of Montgomery, the former county town 6 miles away, for the interesting ruins of Montgomery Castle, attractive Georgian town square, Michelin starred Checkers restaurant. The area also has some local food and drink attractions, including the Monty's Brewery Visitor Center in Montgomery, Kerryvale Vineyard and Dairy Dreams Ice Cream both between Montgomery and Churchstoke.
