I found this pencil sketch in a box of my father’s effects. (He passed away some years ago.) It’s St Mary’s Church in Swerford, dated 2/77 (i.e. Feb 1977) and initialled. I never knew he had done this, but I’m very happy to have found it!

Seems like spring is here in Swerford. This little fellow only reluctantly moved when we were mowing the grass, only to move a short distance onto some already cut grass. And went back to sleep while the rest of the grass was cut!

Hooray, we'll be re-opening tomorrow! We are going to be all prepared for the first guests for a long time, arriving on Thursday. We've been so missing sharing our cottage with others (and being there ourselves!) We hope some of the guests will take photos, especially of the garden. And will post them for everyone to share.
