The TUI SUNEO Tamaimo Tropical's in good nick, thanks to an all-over refurb in summer 2019.

This place had a fresh lick of paint ahead of joining the TUI SUNEO ranks in 2019. Everything from the pool area to the rooms went under the designer's brush, so the whole place looks fresh from the salon.

Things are pretty rosy location-wise. The hotel's plumb in the centre of Puerto di Santiago, with a couple of black-sand coves a short stroll away. Head to the nearby marina, and you'll have views of the mighty Los Gigantes cliffs.

These well-equipped villas make an ideal base for a family break in the Sunshine State.

You can pick the right size villa for your group – there are three, four, five and six-bedroom options on offer. All them are dotted around the outskirts of Orlando – in the Kissimmee, Haines City, Clermont or Davenport neighbourhoods – so it’s easy to reach the Disney and Universal parks.

The Globales Bouganvilla is just the ticket for a fun-filled family holiday, with its own waterpark, two roomy pools and evening entertainment.

This All Inclusive hotel boasts its very own waterpark, featuring bite-sized slides for little ones and eight bigger chutes for older children and grown-ups. The big, lake-like pool has you sorted for relaxing in the sun.

You’ll find a big buffet restaurant, plus a pizzeria and a barbecue eatery. The likes of aqua aerobics and football will keep you active during the day, while family-friendly shows are on the bill after dark in the circus-style tent. The nearest sandy beach, plus the shop-and-restaurant-filled town centre, are within 20 minutes’ walk – you can hop on the mini-train* to get there even quicker.

The Jaz Makadi Saraya Splash Resort tallies up five pools, six restaurants and seven bars. Plus, you get unlimited access to a waterpark included in your stay.

This hotel’s nestled into Makadi Bay’s town centre, meaning that there are lots of shops and restaurants a few minutes’ walk away. What’s more, you can reach the hotel’s private strip of sand in a five-minute stroll.

When it comes to pools, you’ve got five dipping spots to pick from, including one with a shaded paddling area for toddlers. You’re free to use the waterpark during your stay, too – it lines up a handful of slides and a pirate-themed splash park.
