FREE COACHING

Hi all, I hope everyone is well. I’m Neil, I am a moderate water canoe leader and sheltered water coach who is currently training ready to progress to the next stage to be able to operate in tougher environments including open water in winds up to Force4, and on white water grade 2-3.

I’m looking for mock students to practise coaching in both these environments. If you have some basic canoeing experience but are looking to move up a stage, if you have all your own kit and are able to travel then we can help each other out.

Please note, the coaching will be free but some sites do have launch fees. If you are interested then please message and I will get back to you to discuss dates and locations.

Great to have the truck up and running again after the top hose went 😞 first time in three years for hard work and 70k it’s broken Down and I still managed to fix it in a lane and finish the tour ( great being a mechanic 🙂 )
Can’t let people down can we. 🙂
Looking forward to a weekend of canoe leadership chilling on the water 🙂

Today I’ve offered to put something good back into green laning for free even at my own expense I’m a mechanic of 30+ years I have a city and guilds level 3 and a HNC in design and build so I understand how a 4wd drive system works
I’m a level 2 canoe and kayak coach with British canoeing ofqual regulated so I have an approved qualification in instructional techniques
I’m a white water canoe leader that was assessed by the famous sir Ray Goodwin ( google him )  so I know how to lead people in dangerous Challenging situations that can be fluid and ever changing
I’m also a rec level 4 Outdoor and expedition medic/ first aid trained
in September this year I did a four day training course with ARD training and events (rospa affiliated) Russ D***s that was 4x4 instructor and winching instructor I only did this so that I could offer people help for free I have offered to drive to different places across the country to do a one or two day training course for free and to the most it’s been really positive but one or two have had a go at me I find this very sad I’m not out to make money
I don’t charge for any laning trip that I do
I don’t charge for any canoe or kayak coaching that I do
or any canoe trips I lead
I do it so that I can help people learn and be safe
I thought I could do the same with people new to 4x4 driving so that maybe just maybe the lanes don’t get trashed due to lack of knowledge
In hindsight I’m sorry I offered my time money and effort for free
