Another great walk from Caithness and Sutherland Countryside Rangers! Explore the post-clearance village of Poulouriscaig, just along the coast from us.

As promised, here are the details of the events taking place later this month around the community acquisition of the Rosal Clearance Village site. We are looking forward to working alongside Strathnaver Museum and The Store Bistro & Bar - Bettyhill over the two days with events at the Museum, Strath Halladale Hall, Strathnaver Hall, and the Clearance site itself.

As well as being enjoyable events, we are hoping to find out your ideas and if/how you’d like to be involved in the future of Rosal.

As part of the Kyle of Sutherland Gala Weekend from 10th to 14th August, Ardgay Public Hall has organised its first Kyle of Sutherland Book Fair on Friday 11th August from 10 am to 2 pm. Sixteen authors from across the Highlands, including some very local to the area, will be taking part in the event. There will be books on sale to suit everyone’s tastes and for all ages. The local caterer, Nanny’s Tea Room will be in the hall, proving drinks and tasty treats. St. Duthac Book and Arts Festival volunteers will have a stall, sharing information about their many events in September on the Easter Ross Peninsular. Organisers expect a great day in Ardgay, full of books, blether and meeting all of the authors selling and signing their books. We should love you to visit.
