Today, our very own Dennis, took part in the Pembroke River Rally! ⛵️ He sailed his boat, ‘Never Ends,’ all the way from Milford Haven Marina to the picturesque Pembroke Castle. What a fantastic sight it was—beautiful boats cruising with the stunning Pembroke Castle as a backdrop. 🌊🏰 A big shoutout to Dennis for making this event even more special!

Pembroke Castle is a medieval castle, the first part of which was built in 1093 by Arnulf of Montgomery. A century later, it was gifted by Richard l to William Marshal, who then became one of the most powerful men in the 12th century! 🏰

If you love history and you want to learn more about this incredible castle, why not take a trip there during your stay? It's perfect for all ages and prices start from just £7 for children, £10 for adults, and £9 for seniors - which we think is an amazing price!

We're already one month into Spring, which means days like this are on their way, and we are so ready.

We love living in the countryside because, regardless of the season, there is always something beautiful to look at. But, Summer is definitely the most stunning. ☀️

We're counting down the days to more sunny afternoons, with outdoor picnics, sunbathing, and lots of exploring.

What are you most looking forward to about Summer? ⬇️

📣 Calling all families!

If you're planning a family holiday to Pembrokeshire and are looking for child-friendly things to do, Folly Farm is perfect and a mere 20 minutes away.

Folly Farm, located between Tenby and Narberth, is a combination zoo, petting farm, fun fair, and amusement park, all rolled into one! Along with a pirate ship, dragon playground, and ride-on diggers, there's a large menagerie to explore, including farm animals, meerkats, monkeys, giraffes, zebras, and an excellent penguin enclosure. 🐧

Tickets start from £24.65 for adults and £22.75 for children (which we think is a bargain given how much there is to see and do!), but family tickets are also available.

One thing we love is being able to add personality to a space while still offering something neutral, welcoming, and warm. One way we do this in our properties is by adding fun signs on the walls or opting for quirky crockery.

How do you add personality to your interiors? Let us know ⬇️

⭐ Some facts about Holyland House ⭐

⛪ It was home to the Adams family between 1710 until 1950 and was built for Joseph Adams using stones from the medieval Marlan's Chapel
🖼️ The land Holyland House was built on had been owned by the Adams family since 1629 and there was a different house on the site prior to Holyland being built
🏰 It's a Grade 2 listed building
🌳 Holyland Wood, the grounds surrounding the house, is managed as a nature reserve to enhance its natural history, promote its educational use, and maintain it as an outdoor area for the local community

When we're not busy running Greenacres Estates, Greg and I like to spend time traveling. I was going through some old photos from a few years ago and came across these throwbacks of us at the Grand Canyon!

Definitely one of the most amazing places we've visited, and we'd absolutely love to go back someday. 😍

What's the best place you've ever visited? ⬇️

📣 This April is National Pet Month! 🐶

So, what better time to remind you that some of our accommodations (most of Holyland House and our Hideaway cottages!) are pet-friendly! 🐩🐾

Having Ollie ourselves, we understand just how much dogs are a part of the family, so we think it's only fair that they can come along on family holidays.

Plus, with so many beaches and areas of outstanding natural beauty surrounding our accommodations, there are plenty of amazing places to explore with your furry friends.

Here are some visitors we've had in the past!

📣 Area Spotlight: Caldey Island

Caldey Island near Tenby, Pembrokeshire, has a history that spans over 1,500 years. The island is home to around 40 permanent residents along with a varying number of Cistercian monks, known as Trappists. The monks' predecessors migrated to the island from Belgium in the early 20th century, taking over from Anglican Benedictines who purchased the land in 1906 and built the extant monastery and abbey. ⛪

Caldey Island is also renowned for its chocolate! They make it onsite in a factory that used to be open to the public. Although you can no longer see it being made, the chocolate is amazing, so give it a try! 🍫

During spring and summer months, you can catch a ferry to Caldey from Tenby Harbour, visit the sacred sanctuary, and immerse yourself in the island's rich wildlife. 🐦‍⬛

Ollie doesn't just love spending time with his dad; he also loves meeting our guests, too, and you can pay him a visit in his own garden. 🌳

And, don't forget, we're dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend with you during your stay!
