Our short break from social media is over, this weekend we found ourselves out enjoying the heather that’s in full bloom. The endless rain in the past months has rewarded us with this fantastic purple carpet that covers most of the hills and high ground around the island 💚💜

We found the Sloc is particularly purple at the minute. We would love you to comment if you have noticed the heather is particularly pretty anywhere?

It’s no secret why our rolling landscapes span a wide range of healthy green tones…. Rain ☔️

But did you know the Isle of Man has on average 197 days of rain a year, 16 days in each month are wet.

We don’t believe in bad weather, only an error in choice of clothing. A good waterproof jacket is essential if you want to maximise your outside time on the island and enjoy yourself while your making more memories 💚

By popular demand, here is Niarbyl and the white beach.

The white beach located to the right of Niarbyl, roughly a 10 minute walk south from the carpark at Niarbyl.

Unfortunately some of the footpaths on the island are somewhat overgrown so we would recommend that you cover your legs and wear supportive footwear 💚

Happy exploring 🇮🇲

Put your hands in the air if your Friday night looked like this?

On Friday evening we headed to Sulby reservoir, to one of our islands many dark sky sites. Turned the car off, got the obligatory snacky snacks out and waited. We didn’t have to wait long, shortly after 11pm the sky was alive with the Lady Aurora making the most spectacular entrance!

If you were lucky enough to see the northern lights be sure to tag us and send us your pictures, we would love to share some of our discover tribe’s fantastic memories 💚💚💚

Today is part 1 of our northern beach tour.

The Aryes nature reserve, the perfect destination for beach walks, bird spotting, dog walking, horse riding and most importantly respecting nature.

We unfortunately did leave feeling much better with lots of happy memories and we regrettably did end up leaving foot prints in the sand.

Winter or summer, Ballaugh beach is a favourite park and walk spot.

The famous Passages ship wreck is a great (longish) walk north, at low tide there ever shifting long stretching fields of sand often bordered by large boulders.

In summer it’s a popular BBQ and sunset spot 🌅

With a great quantity of litter bins you can see why it’s a favourite for dog walkers! Our four legged friends love some beach time zoomies 🤩🌊

Did we also mention it’s a great dark skies location for star gazing and when we are lucky watching the aurora dance above the waves.

Tag your beach loving friends 🫵⬇️
