Well done Team Luangwa
The closure of Treetops has caused sadness and surprise in the safari industry. Opened in the Aberdare National Park in Kenya in 1932, the lodge hosted the Que
Today we've learned the sad news that Jabu has died. Jabu was a gentle giant of an elephant cared for by the Living with Elephants Foundation in Botswana by Sandi and Doug (who died tragically last year) since he was rescued as a baby after a cull in Kruger.
It was my honour to meet him, Sandi and Doug a few years ago with my son. Jabu and his fellow elephants in care, Morula and Thembi (who also died a few years ago) were wonderful wildlife ambassadors as well as incredible characters.
Thanks to anyone who has helped protect elephants through https://www.facebook.com/withelephants/ or another wildlife charity. Elephants and all wildlife deserve our protection and need it now more than ever.

we love this country too as well as
For a lot of us that traversed the wide open spaces of this majestic, mystical land, enjoyed a sundowner while watching the last flocks of birds fly to roost, camped out and slept under the stars.
The memories are still clear in our heads, forever etched in those happy places of our minds, held so dearly in our hearts. It is these memories that give us hope, that soon we shall all welcome you back, create new, better memories. Worry not, for is it not said “to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heavens, a time to weep, and time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance” worry not soon we shall laugh and dance once again like we used to. For this is , breathtakingly beautiful.
Hope some of you caught this we love too

The way to go https://africageographic.com/stories/change-is-coming-to-the-safari-industry/?mc_cid=bd59237ab8&mc_eid=8ada521830
This story is about how technology and human nature are shaping the future of your dream hand-crafted safari - is that a good thing?
We see the seas on
As some light begins to appear at the end of the lockdown tunnel, we are also starting to see more of the long term damage Covid-19 is doing. Travel is being severely affected and across Africa the safari industry has ground to a halt. It's a worrying time for the people, the wildlife and the landscapes that depend on visitors. Overnight the taps have been turned off and the future for everyone, your airport transfer driver, the camp chefs, local farmers who supply vegetables, their families, and the wildlife they depend on, is looking uncertain.
It's really tough out there now but if you are concerned about the people and wildlife of Tanzania, Kusini Safaris have started a fundraiser for some excellent conservation projects. Please give what you can.
https://uk.gofundme.com/f/kusini-safaris-covid19-conservation-fundraiser
Kusini Safaris will donate 100% of any money raised, equally, amongst the causes we support. These projects work locally from the village land around Ruaha National Park to country wide efforts across Tanzania. Engaging with communities, helping them to live with wildlife, anti-poaching and protecting wildlife habitats:
Mkuyu Guide School
PAMS Foundation
Ruaha Carnivore Project
Southern Tanzania Elephant Program
Sea Sense

The joy of be safe and our expert travel consultants
Hello! And so our 3 weeks of confinement begins. Rightly so.
Tribes is now split into many little home offices throughout Suffolk. We thought you might like to see how our tribe are set up with their new satellite desks.
Today, one of our travel consultants, Rory, shares his new office with us. As you can see, he has brought in the experts to help us :-)
Christine, one of Tribes super staff member has some wise words during this challenging time ‘be brave but kind, be prepared and keep in good physical shape’ … she certainly practices what she preaches going for freezing cold swims in the lakes of Cumbria!
