🪩 Sparkles vs Surgery 🦿

Apparently no pain, no gain so on Friday I took the tricky decision to have my scaffolding removed 😫

Was a little unnerved when they switched the fighter at the last minute, particularly when my new surgeon asked what I was having done 😁

I avoided the tummy tuck request and stuck with shrapnel removal.

After easing my my mind that he had actually looked at an xray (assuming mine) he said I’d done a good job as my bones had gone “phoooohhh” and he did all the big explosive sounds and arm actions to emphasise my previous showcasing of skills.

So here I am, day two post op. Pretty sore, mobility aids back down from the loft and watching back to back ‘Only fools and horses’ as self-prescribed!

So that’s me grounded for the summer while hopefully nature does its thing and I can hopefully one day be the Dancing Caribbean Queen again 💃🏝️

The good thing for you is that my razor sharp mind, wit and fingers are fully functioning and I’m office bound and on-tap to look after all your last minute or next years holiday adventures! 💪

Step away from the ‘BOOK BUTTON’

We all shop about for that elusive deal or special offer but is it always really what it says on the tin?

Insurance, utilities, mobile phones, broadband….we’re all tapping away on the comparison websites and trawling the internet, only to find that there’s a catch or hidden extras.

Holidays are different…they’re not available on comparison websites…Aleksandr the Meerkat hasn’t got the bandwidth to cope with the millions of variables….but I have!

I know we must strive to get the best deal more than ever these days, but I’ve also learnt that there’s a world of difference between CHEAP and VALUE. But that old adage of “you get what you pay for” is sadly true in most cases.

Don’t cut corners with your holiday…it’s a massive financial commitment and you need to get it right.

If you haven’t booked with me before or have but think it’s a holiday that I might not offer, before you commit, why not pick up the phone or drop me a line first?

🇱🇨 Sparkles vs Jade Chocolate 🍫

Did I mention any time recently that I went to St.Lucia…?

Jade Mountain’s very own chocolatier, Chef Daniel, dared to let me loose in his chocolate laboratory to have a bash at tempering said chocolate. He thought it might be fun to see if I could create a bar, decorate and wrap it.

The result was somewhere between the skills of a candidate on The Apprentice with the finesse of a contestant on the Generation Game…my application to be Daniel’s next Oompa Loompa has since been ‘filed’.

The important stuff to know is that Jade Mountain has over 2000 cocoa trees on the resort’s estates and organic farm, and they’ve been hand crafting Emerald Estate Chocolate for the last 15 years. And when I say handcrafting, I mean literally sorting through sacks of cocoa beans, bean by bean. Labour intensive, but Daniel’s efforts shadow Wonka’s!

A fabulously unique activity that I highly recommend if you stay at either Jade Mountain or Anse Chastanet, and turns out it’s one of your ‘five a day’! 💪

I’m harping back to my recent stay at the formidable Jade Mountain a few weeks ago where I got to combine my two most favourite things….sunset and music.

No legendary dance moves were used in the making of this video, so all limbs are intact I’m pleased to report.

Instead, here’s a rather more sedated me, chair dancing on Jade’s own catamaran while sailing past the iconic Pitons in the Golden Hour…my cockles were well and truly warmed 🌄🥰
