The Soar Tour The Soar Tour is a 28 mile trip through Leicestershire on the River and Canal that make up the Soar Navigation.

The Soar Tour has been developed as a partnership between local paddlers and the Canal & River Trust. There are many shorter loop trips available as well as a start to finish tour (normally undertaken over three days). Please post any comments or observations about the route, signage, facilities or anything else.

Big thank you to Oliver Lockett and the CRT Kickstarter Team for the work they have put in at Barrow weir on the portage. It looks fantastic and will make it much easier to transition from the canal to the river.

Soar Tour Part 1 - Soup & Soar Paddle - Jubilee Park to LOPC. 26th January 2020
An exciting local paddle that starts on the twisty back waters of Enderby, passes under Soar Valley Way and through Aylestone. Covering nearly 10 miles of the Soar Tour. Once we arrive back at LOPC and you've had a nice warm shower, a cup of tasty warm soup and a roll will be ready to warm you back up. The usual tea, coffee and chat will be available too.
All regional clubs are invited to join the Tour. Details from this link.

As a first post on the page - it has to be a big thank you to the CRT for all their help and hard work to make the improvements for paddling on the Soar. Thanks too, to the Friends of the CRT who have given financial support to the project
