Roaming Scotland We run small group outings, prioritising exploring more on foot than on the road. We take you to the Martin is passionate about hill walking and adventuring.

I like to take people to the lesser trodden places to enjoy the very best of what Scotland, in all it's alluring wildness, has to offer . Encountering the ancient hill forts, Celtic chapels and standing stone circles on these travels has prompted research into our early history. He is willing to share, though wary not to bore, about Pictish warriors and Celtic saints. Martin is a published author,

and of relevance in this fusion of interests, are 'Z-Rod' and ‘A Clearing of the Mists’. Z-Rod is a novel set in the times when the adventurous Celtic saints came to the warrior cultures of the Picts. The other title draws on the spiritual connection with the landscape and the past, and the lessons learned from hill-craft. Martin and his wife, Alexandra, have also travelled overseas extensively and have lived 14 years in the Middle East and the Far East. We have appreciated kind hosts on these travels and would hope to better understand what it takes to make your visit that much more memorable. We have also run two guest house businesses in Scotland for 9 years. We very much want you to get the most out of your visit to Scotland, so be assured of a genuine and warm welcome.
