Meet the tutors: Nigel Overton. 😁

Since studying Drawing, Painting & Printmaking at Loughborough College of Art & Design, Nigel has worked with a wide range of different media but in recent years has mainly worked in acrylics.

Whatever the medium, he has always maintained his belief in the importance of drawing, both in his own work and while teaching. Nigel has been fascinated with landscapes and seascapes since his early years as an art student. Drawing and painting continue to provide him with the visual means of expressing his personal and emotional response to an ever-changing subject.

Formerly Head of Art & Design at Benton Park School in Leeds, Nigel now paints professionally and teaches day and residential classes. If anyone is interested, I have decided to place the domain of VisitAberfoyle.co.uk up for sale (sensible price) along with the group page for VisitAberfoyle on Face book.

Visit(town/placename) is of course the model of Visit Scotland and recognised marketing and promotional model both Nationally and Internationally. So potentially has good marketing options if used fully in that way to promote Aberfoyle.

My late partner Ian Davison Porter, had owned it with a view to developing things one day. After he passed away I moved away from Aberfoyle. It would be nice to hand it over to someone that can make something of it going forward.

VisitAberfoyle page on here has always had some visitors to it despite the fact no postings have gone on since Ian passed away (except those shared by the National Park).
