Lovely afternoon at Threave Garden & Nature Reserve NTS lots of trees down a week ago so a bit of chainsaw action going on .. but the gardens even in their sleeping state are so beautiful , my little OCD mind loves the order and tidiness in amongst the natural less ordered .

Oooh and lovely lunch in the restaurant overlooking the garden

Sadly we had a tree down in the night , a lovely huge scotch pine .. 84ft long and according to the growth rings about 112 years old !!

Took the new ‘big guns’ chain saw to free it from the chicken pen .. Andy’s new toy … oh gosh ‘we’re gonna need a bigger boat’ springs to mind 😉

30 minutes drive from Grobdale , lots for cyclists & walkers of all abilities along with wildlife hides, childrens play and a lovely cafe ..
