24 Hours in Rome: A Whirlwind Adventure!

Rome wasn't built in a day, but you can cram a lot into a whistle-stop visit! 🇮🇹✨

We kicked off our 24-hour Roman adventure in the charming neighbourhood of Monti, sipping cappuccinos at a hidden gem café. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable day.

Next stop: the iconic Colosseum! With our tickets in hand, we skipped the crowds and immersed ourselves in the grandeur of this ancient amphitheatre. Palatine Hill dazzled us with its lush gardens and panoramic views of Roman history.

Hungry for more? Testaccio Market called our name, and we answered with a traditional sandwich and fresh pasta from local vendors. Our taste buds danced with delight!

The historic Jewish Ghetto offered rich history and unique cuisine. Artichokes alla giudia, anyone? Every bite was a culinary treasure.

And what's Rome without s stroll through Villa Borghese? We soaked in the beauty and artistic heritage of this expansive park. Trastevere's vibrant nightlife and authentic trattorias had us revelling in the lively atmosphere.

We wrapped up our mini Roman adventure in Campo de' Fiori, savoring authentic Italian cuisine and the vibrant square's energy. What a way to say goodbye!

Valetta, the sun-soaked gem of Malta, where every day feels like a celebration under the Mediterranean sky. With over 300 days of sunshine annually, it's no wonder this historic city is a must-stop on any cruise itinerary.

Exploring Valetta's charming streets and rich history is a breeze, especially with its pedestrian-friendly layout. Although it's hilly, making your way around on foot is part of the adventure, with picturesque stair climbs offering stunning views at every turn. For those with mobility challenges there are alternative tours you can take to experience the beauty of this city without the climbing.

Short on time, we opted for a Segway tour to delve deeper within the ancient city walls. Gliding through narrow alleys and grand squares added an exhilarating twist to our exploration.

And let's not forget the culinary delights! Our day in Valetta wouldn't have been complete without savoring a delicious lunch along St. Lucy Street. With tables arranged down the steps, the ambiance was as delightful as the food itself, capturing the essence of Mediterranean bliss.

One day is simply not enough to soak in all that Valetta has to offer. We are already planning a long weekend here to fully immerse ourselves in its beauty.

Hey White Lotus fans! Today, we checked out the Four Seasons in Taormina. Even with the rain it was incredible.

Lunch on the terrace by the pool was a dream, despite the weather. The views? Absolutely jaw-dropping! This hotel is pure magic, blending Mediterranean charm with luxury.

Originally a 19th-century monastery, it’s now a lavish retreat with history and modern vibes. Get ready for some serious indulgence and drama in this stunning setting!

Just spent an amazing 24 hours in Rome before boarding NCL Viva for a 10-day tour of the Adriatic!

We squeezed in so much, walking 20,000 steps and seeing the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Ponte Sant’Angelo, Via Veneto, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and even Quirinal Hill, the President’s residence!

And of course, indulged in delicious food and wine, ending the day with a heavenly platter of bread, ham, cheese, beef carpaccio, and the most delicious olive oil.

🍷 Cheers to unforgettable experiences!
