Host information

We spoke to Manx.News to clarify the new registration fees. We've got some exciting plans for the optional marketing and advertising package which is launching this year!

Homestay IOM has come under fire for allegedly 'doubling' the registration fees for 2025. The registration fee has gone up £5 for next year, from £60 to £65, whilst the two year registration fee has gone up from £80 to £95. Registration fees include a fire inspection, £5million public liabilit...

Homestay Registration Fees - from 1st September 2024

From 1st September 2024 Homestay Registration fees will see a small increase from £60 for a 1 year registration to £65, and from £80 for 2 years to £95. Applies to new registrations, or renewals after this date.

For those wishing to let your home out for TT this registration is required by law (Tourism Act 1975) and you'll receive public liability insurance as part of this registration. The listing will also appear on the official Homestay website directory. You can advertise your property as you wish, Airbnb and Facebook groups are particularly good options.

Optional extra - Advertise on the official Homestay website.

Your registration includes an entry in the directory online, however upgrade your registration to the full advertising and marketing package for a full advert with photos and live availability that you can control! Potential guests message you via the site to allow you to find the perfect fit.

1 year Registration & advertising package - £99 (Early bird offer before 31/12/2024)
2 year Registration & advertising package - £149 (Early bird offer before 31/12/2024)

If you have an existing Homestay registration you will be upgraded to the full advertising package, until it expires, for no additional cost!
