If you opt for our West Coast Hidden Gems golf tour, Western Gailes stands out as a captivating course that promises to challenge your golfing abilities.

Dating back over 125 years to 1897, Western Gailes welcomed the earliest golfers arriving on the train south from Glasgow. Stretching over 7,000 yards from the championship tees, this coastal links course is bordered by the sea and railway. The layout begins with holes heading north, followed by nine consecutive holes played in the opposite direction, with the sea to the golfer’s right. The final five holes, including the renowned 17th, offer a challenging conclusion, making it one of Scotland's most memorable golfing experiences.
