The winter 'shift' in the garden is now officially underway. My Algerian iris (Iris unguicularis) started flowering on December 10th, the earliest in several years! Highly recommend this easy to grow, colourful and slightly scented rhizomatous plant

Rwyf wedi dod o hyd i dri offeryn carreg (o bosib) pan oeddwn i'n adnewyddu'r bwthyn uchaf yma. Byddwn i wrth fy modd yn eu dangos i rywun! Here's an arcaheological challenge! Does anyone know a local mesolithic period specialist? I found 3 what I think look like stone age tools while I was renovating the top cottage. I'd love to show them to someone who knows whether or not they might be tools from the mesolithic period!
